<br />Moved by Councilman Dearborn, seconded by Councilman Thorning the Supt of Streets be in-
<br />structed to proceed with the abatement of the weed nuisance, under Resolution of Intention
<br />K-3, Motion carried,
<br />A petition was presented to the Council by the property owners living on Elwood and Kath-
<br />erine Streets requesting the Council for a fire hydrant at the corner of Fulton and Kather-
<br />ine or the corner of Elwood and Katerine Streets, also a street light in the middlle of the
<br />block on Elwood St between Katherine and James Streets, was on motion of Councilman Dearborn i
<br />seconded by Councilman McNulty same be received and filed. Aiotion carried.
<br />On motion of Councilman Thorning, seconded by Councilman Dearborn and carried the fol-
<br />lowing dance permits be granted to -wit:
<br />The Young Ladies Institute and Young Alen's Mnstitute Of Redwood City to hold a dance in the
<br />L women's Club house until 1 o'clock.
<br />A4arkgrafs orchestra in foresters Hall Clednesday evening May 2, and 9, 1928, also Saturday
<br />evening until 1 o'clock May 5, 12, 19, and 26, 1928.

<br />1 contract on Cooper Street was on motion of Councilman Dearborn seconded by Councilman Thorning

<br />A communication from the Gen Geo S. Evans Relief Corps No.36, inviting the Council to
<br />co-operate with them in Memorial Day service, was on motion of Councilman McNulty, seconded
<br />by Councilman Dearborn same be received and filed. Motion carried.
