<br />Upon roll call there were present, Councilmen Mayor H.A.Beeger, Z.T.Thorning, D.R.
<br />Stafford, G.:Y.McNulty, E.M.Dearborn, W.A.Priee City Clerk,
<br />On motion of Councilman Dearborn, seconded by Councilman Thorning the minutes of
<br />June 4th, 1928, be dispensed with until next regular meeting. Motion carried,
<br />Application of the Y. M. I. for a permit to hold a dance in Foresters Hall Sunday
<br />afternoon -June 24, 1928, was on motion of Councilman Stafford, seconded by Councilman
<br />dcNulty same be granted. Motion carried.
<br />Application of Anthony Prusch placing his name on file for position of trick drive iz
<br />;;:ase there is a vacancy in the fire department, was on motion of Councilman Stafford,
<br />by.Councilman McNulty same be received and filed and referred to the Chief of the
<br />Department. Motion carried.
<br />Application of Charles Tammany for an all night permit to park two (2) Taxi Cabs in
<br />t of his office and stand at No. 238 Winslos Street, was on motion of Councilman
<br />Thorning, seconded by Councilman Stafford same be referred to the Chief of Police,
<br />carried,
<br />Application of A. Grondona for a Master Plumbers license in the Town of Redwood City
<br />was on motion of Councilman McNulty, seconded by Councilman Stafford same be granted on
<br />the approval of his bond by the City Attorney, Motion carried.
<br />On motion of Councilman Dearborn, seconded by Councilman McNulty Ordinance No.283,
<br />regarding arteries stop signs on Broadway, Main St and Phelps St, was referred to the
<br />Supt of Streets. Motion carried,
<br />A petition containing 34 names of property owner asking the Council to install
<br />sidewalks on the property which has no sidewalks installed, on Jackson Ave (both sides)
<br />from ElCamino Real to Fulton St, and on both sides Fulton Cleveland Clinton and Adams
<br />Streets between Jackson and Jefferson Avenues, was on motion of Councilman Dearborn,
<br />seconded by Councilman McNulty, said prtition be received. and filed, Motion carried.
<br />A petition containing 5 names of property owners on Beech St, bet E1 Camino Real
<br />and Stambaugh St asking the Council to commence prooeed.ings to improve said street with
<br />,Par-tyand. Cement Concrete paving, also a petition from 4 property owners on Minnie Street
<br />from Broadway to George St, and George Street from Minnie St To El Camino Real, and the
<br />Alley in the Perry SudAvision asking the Council to improve said street and alley with
<br />Pertland Cement Concrete paving, was on motion of Councilman Dearborn, seconded by
<br />Councilman McNulty said petitions be received and filed. Motion carried.
<br />Moved by Councilman Dearborn, seconded by Councilman McNulty, the City Engineer,
<br />and City Attorney Attorney be instructed to prepare Plans and Specificatins in accordant -.e
<br />with the above petitions. Motion carried.
<br />Councilman Thorning offers the following Ordinance No.282, and moves its adoption,
<br />Councilman Stafford seconds the motion. Motion carried.

<br />Councilman Dearborn offers Ordinance No.283.( An ordinance of the Town of Redwood
<br />City Providing that any person or persons knowingly visiting or being in or about any
<br />premises in the Towh of Redwood City where intoxicating liquor is illegally kept or sold
<br />are guilty of a misdemeanor, and providing a punishment therefor.) and moves its intro -
<br />duction, Councilman Stafford seconds the mottion. Motion carried.
<br />The map referring to the street from White Oaks to Finger Ave, was on motion of
<br />Councilman Thorning, seconded byl0ouncilman Stafford said map be referred to the Supt
