<br />Regular meeting of the City Council held,
<br />Upon roll call there were present Councilmen Pres H.A.Beeger, Z.T.Thorning, D.R.Stafford,
<br />G-'W.MoNulty, City Clerk W.A.Price.
<br />Absent, Councilman, E.M.Dearborn.
<br />On motion of Councilman McNulty, seconded by Councilman Stafford minutes of October
<br />15th and 20th, 1928 be approved as read. Motion carried.
<br />Moved by Councilman Thorning, seconded by Councilman Stafford, the carried the folloNing
<br />dance permits be granted, to -wit:
<br />Al J. Markgraf in Foresters Hall Wednesday evening Nov, 7, 14, 21, 1928, until 1;Ql c
<br />Redwood City Fire Department in Foresters Hall, Stturday evening Nov 3rd, 1928, untiL
<br />1 o'clock.
<br />Redwood City Post #105, American Legion in the,Parish House, Clinton St, Saturday
<br />evening Nov 10th, 1928, until 1 o'clock.
<br />Communication from the Redwood City Planning Commission recommending that a street
<br />be cut through and the creek bridged connecting Edgewood Road and White Oaks, also
<br />another street to be cut through at a point located near Langston Street, was on motion
<br />of Councilman Stafford, seconded by Councilman Thorning same be referred to the City
<br />Attorney, Motion carried.
<br />Aplication of the Pacific Elevator and Equipment Cc for a permit to do Electrical
<br />Contracting in the Town of Redwood City, was on motion of Councilman McNulty, seconded
<br />by Councilman Stafford said permit be granted. Motion carried.
<br />Communication from Mr A.M.Robertson protesting against the locating of a steam.
<br />laundry on the lot situated at the corner of Jefferson and Railroad Ave, was on motion
<br />of Councilman Thorning, seconded by Councilman Stafford same be received and filed.

<br />Communication .from Mir Agusta Ricooni asking for a rebate of his taxes, was on moti)n
<br />of Councilman Stafford seconded by Councilman Thorning the request be denied,Motion carr Led,
<br />On motion of Councilman McNulty, seconded by Councilman Thorning the City purchase
<br />lot 33 lee tract from Nellie Forest, in the sum of $1200,00. Motion carried.
<br />Moved by Councilman Thorning, seconded by Councilman McNulty, Stanley Wood be app-
<br />ointed sargent of Police, with an increase of salary of $15.00 per month. Motion carried,
<br />Moved by Councilman Thorning, seconded by Councilman McNulty, the Council purchase
<br />a Chrysler roadster for the Police Department, Motion carried.
<br />on motion of Councilman McNulty, seconded by Councilman Thorning, Ur Grandi be givan
<br />permission to erect a small sign on his property at the corner of Washington and Webster
<br />ttreets same to be under the supervision of the Building Inspector. Motion carried.
<br />Moved by Councilman Staffors seconded by Councilman Thorning, the City Engineer be
<br />instructed to prepare plans and specification for widening Broadway and Main Street from
<br />Washington Street to Maple Street also the installing electroliers from Broadway to Five
<br />Points on Main. Street, in accordance to the recommend.ition of the iiroperty owners,
<br />Motion carried.
<br />A petetion from property owners on Ebener Street between Roosevelt and Oak Avenues
<br />requesting curb and sidewalk also two street lights, was on motion of Councilman McNulty
<br />seconded by Councilman Thorning, same be received and filed and refferred to the City En-
<br />gineer and City Electrican, Motion carried.
<br />On motion of Councilman Thorning, seconded by Councilman McNulty the City pay the
<br />amount of 0400.00 towards the moving of the old school building from the Hare Brewer &
<br />Clark property to I44eses Plaza. Motion carried.
<br />Moved by Councilman Stafford, seconded by Councilman IvicNulty, the clerk be inst-
<br />ruted to write the Highway Commissioners Uging the continuance of work on the Bayshore
