0 <br />. 365 <br />'Redwood City November 19, 1928, 7.30 otoloek, P.M. <br />Regular meeting of the City Council held. <br />Upon roll call there were present Councilmen, Mayor H.A.Beeger, Z.T.Thorning,D. R. <br />Stafford, G.W.MeNulty, E.M.Dearborn, City Clerk W.A.Price. <br />Minutes of meetings held Oct 229 1928, and November 5th, 1928, were read and on motion <br />of Councilman Dearborn, seconded by Councilman McNulty said minutes be approved as read, <br />Motion carried. <br />Moved by Councilman Dearborn, seconded by Councilman Thorning , the City Attorney <br />be instructed to take the necessary steps in calling a hearing to have the N.W. portion <br />of Block 4, Diller Addition place in the light indrustrial zone. Motion carried. <br />On motion of Councilman Thorning, seconded by Councilman Stafford and carried the <br />following dance permits were granted, to -wit: <br />v <br />Bay View Lodge No. 109, L. 0. 0. F. on Thanksgiving eve Nov 28th, 19289 in Odd Fellows <br />Hall until 1 o'clock. <br />Court Madrone No. 1589 F. & A. on Thanksgiving eve in Forester's Hall until 1 o'elook. <br />Communication from the Planning Commission regarding the petition of Mrs A.A.Peter- <br />cor of <br />son to re -zone property/Katherine and Grand Streets from First to Second Residential <br />be d.emei8., was on motion of Councilman Dearborn, seconded by Councilman Thorning, said <br />later in the evening for futher discusion <br />matter be laid over ,4WwW. Motion carried. <br />Application of Foley's Garage to operate a taxicab service in connection with their <br />garage in accordance with the City Ordinahce, was on motion of Councilman Thorning,, <br />seconded by Councilman McNulty, same be granted. Motion carried. <br />On motion of Councilman Stafford seconded by Councilman McNulty the Council donate <br />the usual contribution of 050.00 to the Red Cross Committee. Motion carried. <br />Moved by Councilman Stafford, seconded by Councilman Dearborn the application of <br />Mrs A. A. Peterson for re -zoning property on the corner of Katherine and Grand Streets <br />be denied. motion carried. <br />special <br />Affidavit of Jas D. Hedge in the matter of Publishing Ordinance 287, felection to <br />name 15 Freeholders) was on motion of Councilman Stafford, seconded by Councilmam <br />Dearborn said affidavit be received and filed. Motion carried. <br />The retufts of the Special Election for the electing of 15 Freeholders held on the <br />15th day of November, 1928, was pubie�,y opened, examined and declared, to -wit: the <br />number of votes cast being 615. <br />C.
