k <br />Yf�l • a ' <br />Redwood City 11ay 6th, 1929. 8 o+clock,2J.,1. <br />Regular meeting of the City Council held. <br />Upon roll call*there were present Councilmen Mayor H.A.Beeger, Z.T?Thorning,D.R. <br />Stafford, G.W.McNulty, City Clerk W.A.Price. <br />Absent, Councilman, E.M.Dearborn. <br />Minutes of meeting held April 15th, 1928, were read, and on motion of Councilman <br />Thorning, seconded by Councilman Stafford same be approved as read. Motion carried. <br />On motion of Councilman Stafford, seconded by Councilman Thorning Leonard & Holt, <br />be granted permission to erect an electric sign with the words "Emerald Lake", only,said <br />sign to be erected Jefferson Ave and the Highway same to be subject to the approval of <br />the Council. Motion carried. <br />Councilman Thorning offers the following Resolution and moves its adoption, r <br />Councilman Stafford seconds the motion. Motion carried. <br />CERTIFIED COPY OF RESOLUTION <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF QUIT -CLAIM DEED TO <br />THOMAS NELSON. <br />RESOLVED: That the Town of Redwood City, for and in consideration of the sum <br />of One Dollar (01.00) to it in hand said, authorize the President of its Board of Trus- <br />tees and its Clerk, as such officers, to excute and deliver in the name of said Town of <br />Redwood City to Thomas Nelson, a Quit -Claim Deed to a portion of a certain one foot strip <br />adjoining Oak Avenue and the lands of said Thomas Nelson and particularly described,viz: <br />Beginning at the most Easterly corner of Lot "N" as shown on that certain map <br />entitled "Map No. 2 of i' Jooster,Whitton & Montgomery's Subdivision of a part of the Red- <br />wood Farm" filed in the office of the County Recorder' of San Mateo County September 16, <br />1903 in Book "C" of original Maps at page 17 and copied into Book -3 of Maps at page 16; <br />thence Southeasterly along the prolongation of the Northeaslerly line of said Lot "N", <br />1 foot to the Northwesterly line of Oak Avenue; thence at right angles Northwesterly 1 <br />foot to the most Southerly corner of said Lot "N"; thence Northaaterly along the South- <br />easterly line of said Lot "N", 277.70 feet to the pointcof beginning. <br />BEING a portion of that certain 1 foot strip adjoining Oak Avenue conveyed to <br />the Town of Redwood City by Dead recorded January 25, 1915 in Book 239 of Deeds at page <br />331• <br />The undersigned, Clerk of the Town of Redwood City, County of San Mateo, State <br />of California, does hereby certify that the foregoing is a full, true and correct copy <br />pf a Resolution passed by the Board of Trustees of said Town of Redwood Ciyy, at a <br />meeting thereof held on the 6th day of May. 1929. <br />W.
