B <br />MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING <br />REDWOOD CITY COUNCIL <br />JUNE 20 1930. <br />8 P.M. <br />f Upon roll call there were present: Councilmen Mayor D,.R.Stafford, H.A.Beeger, W.J.Dusel, <br />s.. C.J.Hildebrant, E.B.Hinman, Paul A. McCarthy, G.W.McNulty. City Clerk B.E.Myers. <br />I Minutes of the meeting held May 19th were approved, with a few suggested changes, on motion <br />r <br />jof Councilman Beeger, seconded by Councilman Dusel. <br />Mr. I. D. Northcutt presented a request for the subdivision of property and assessments <br />and upon motion of Councilman Hildebrant, seconded by Councilman Dusel, permission was <br />granted. A letter from the Planning Commission recommended that the petition be granted. <br />Mr. M. Kotler of San Mateo, California, applied for a permit to collect junk in Redwood City <br />but upon motion of Councilman McCarthy, seconded by Councilman Dusel, it was denied. <br />A dance permit was granted to W. L. Libby, Secretary of the Redwood Social and Development <br />. <br />j Club for Friday night, June 6th. <br />A letter from Logan, McAllister & Mead asking for an opportunity to quote for the auditing <br />I <br />of the City's books for the next fiscal year was ordered filed. <br />Upon motion of Councilman McCarthy, seconded by Councilman Hildebrant, the City Treasurer was <br />authorized to transfer to the General Fund $5,582.46 from the Myrtle Street Firehouse <br />Fund and 01,648.92 from the Broadway Extension Fund. <br />1 <br />The Chamber of Commerce, by its manager, addressed a communication to the Board concerning <br />I <br />I; the purchase 6f instruments for obtaining weather statistics in Redwood City. The <br />matter was laid over until the next meeting at which',time Councilman Hinman would be <br />prepared to bring in supplemental data. <br />I <br />A Mr. Ridgely, representing the Shell Oil Company, addressed the Council concerning permit <br />for service station at the corner of Hopkins Avenue and E1 Camino Real. However, the Anglo London <br />Paris Company, by its representative 1,1r. Levy, Jr., filed a formal protest alleging that <br />all bids should have been on a basis of a 5'. rate. <br />Deeds from the American Manganese Products Company and the Emory Winship Estate were accepted by <br />225 <br />
