I <br />u <br />1 <br />B <br />I <br />f <br />'t <br />Ll <br />AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Council of the City of <br />Redwood City that the Planning, Commission be and they are hereby <br />directed to take the necessary steps for tt•o purpose of placing lots <br />7, S, 9, 10, 11, and 12, block 3, range D, as shown on the map of the <br />Town of Yezesville, in the business district of said City of Redwood <br />City. <br />Passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Redwood City <br />at a regular adjourned meeting thereof held on the 4th day of August, <br />1930, by the following vote: <br />Ayes and in favor of the passage of the foregoing resolution, <br />Councilmen: H. A. Beeger, Yd. J. Dusel, C. J. Hildebrant, G. W. McNulty, <br />D.R. Stafford. <br />Noes and against the passage of the foregoing resolution, <br />Councilmen: NONE. <br />Absent: Councilmen P. A. STAFFORD <br />Mayor of the City of Redwood City. <br />Councilman Hildebrant, seconded by Councilman Beeger, then offered the following <br />Resolution accepting deed from the Tacoma Mill Company and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Redwood City that the <br />hereunto annexed deed, dated the 21st day of July, 1930, and made <br />bet:-reen the TACOMA MILL COMPANY, a corporation, first party, and <br />the CITY OF REWOOD CITY, a municipal corporation of the State of <br />California, second party, be and the same is hereby accepted by the <br />City of Redwood City and'the Clerk of this Council is hereby ordered <br />to have the same recorded in the office of the County Recorder of the <br />County of San Mateo, State of California. <br />I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was duly and <br />regularly passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Redwood <br />City at a regular meeting thereof held on the 4th day of August, <br />1930, by the following vote: <br />Ayes and in favor of the passage of the foregoing Resolution, <br />Councilmen: H. STAFFORD <br />Mayor of the City of Rodvrood City <br />The hearing for the Broadway -Hopkins Avenue lighting district was resumed and A. Hess, <br />having filed a protest petition, addressed the Council to call attention to the <br />fact that nearly two-thirds of the property owners were making formal protest. <br />A letter of protest from Dr Geo. E. Daniels was also read by the Clerk. Dr. G. <br />Franklin Shiels also made oral protest. Finally,'because of the absence of <br />Councilman McCarthy the matter was continued until Monday, August 11th, at <br />10 a m, on motion of Counbilman Beeger, seconded by Councilman Hildebrant. <br />271 <br />
