Upon motion of Councilman Hildebrant, seconded by Councilman McNulty, darner Britschgi <br />was given permit to install a miniature golf course in the Foley Garage on Broadway. <br />The City Engineer reported his findings on the amount of frontage and area represented <br />by the protectants to the electrolier system on lower main Street to the effect that <br />not quite half was represented. Councilman Beeger indicated that in his opinion the <br />time did not seem to be propitious to put this work through and so moved, seconded <br />by Councilman Dusel, that the proceedings be cancelled. Carried. <br />M-14 <br />Two -Light Electrolier System -Broadway & Brewster <br />The patent license agreement from the Street Lighting and Equipment Company covering <br />two light electrolier system on Broadway and Brewster was ordered filed, upon <br />motion of Councilman McNulty, seconded by Councilman Hildebrant. <br />Councilman Beeger, seconded by Councilman Hildebrant offered the following Resolution <br />ordering Plans, Profiles and Specifications for this work and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION ORDERING PLANS, PROFILES AND SPECIFICATIONS NO. M-14 <br />RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Redwood City, County of <br />San Mateo, State of California, that C.L. Dimmitt, City Engineer of said <br />City, be and he is hereby ordered to prepare plans, profiles, detailed <br />drawings, specifications and estimates for doing the £ollowine work and <br />ing elec- <br />making the following improvements in said City, to-wit:,trilers the <br />Cthe south side stofBroad- <br />way between El Camino Real and <br />Brewster Avenue be removed; that <br />Broadway between E1 Camino <br />Real and Brewster Avenue, Brew- <br />ster Avenue between EI Camino <br />Real and Broadway and Arch <br />Sfreet between Broadway and <br />Brewster Avenue be improved by <br />having constructed thereon sev- <br />enteen (17) two (2) light elec- <br />trollers With 30" x 30" x 30" con- <br />crete bases, said two (2) light <br />alectroliers to be Union Metal <br />Manufacturing Company design <br />No. .8092, built to obtain a light <br />center of seventeen (17) feet nine <br />(9) inches measured from the side- <br />walk line with two (2) G. E. <br />form 12 Novalux units, catalog No. <br />257693; said two light electrollera <br />Ito be -equipped with 400 C. P. 20 <br />amp. Mazda Series Lamps, togeth- <br />er with all conduit cable, wiring <br />and appurtenances necessary to <br />complete said lighting system and <br />put same Into complete working <br />order, are hereby included herein. <br />There shall also be furnished <br />for said lighting system the fol- <br />lowing G. E. Novalux constant <br />current pole type transformers <br />with suspension hooks, as follows: <br />Two (2) catalog No. 286185 trans- <br />formers normal rating 71,G K.W. <br />with forty (40) gallons of insulat- <br />ing oil; said transformers to be <br />connected by the City of Redwood <br />City, <br />There shall also be constructed <br />and furnished two (2) services to <br />be located as shown on the plans, <br />these services shall consist of one <br />and one-quarter (11/a) inch con -I <br />duit and two (2) cables; they shall <br />be equipped with five thousand <br />(5,000) volts out door type non - <br />disconnecting potheads. Services] <br />shall be installed to conform with <br />G.
