Upon motion of Councilman Hildebrant, seconded by Councilman McNulty, darner Britschgi was given permit to install a miniature golf course in the Foley Garage on Broadway. The City Engineer reported his findings on the amount of frontage and area represented by the protectants to the electrolier system on lower main Street to the effect that not quite half was represented. Councilman Beeger indicated that in his opinion the time did not seem to be propitious to put this work through and so moved, seconded by Councilman Dusel, that the proceedings be cancelled. Carried. M-14 Two -Light Electrolier System -Broadway & Brewster The patent license agreement from the Street Lighting and Equipment Company covering two light electrolier system on Broadway and Brewster was ordered filed, upon motion of Councilman McNulty, seconded by Councilman Hildebrant. Councilman Beeger, seconded by Councilman Hildebrant offered the following Resolution ordering Plans, Profiles and Specifications for this work and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION ORDERING PLANS, PROFILES AND SPECIFICATIONS NO. M-14 RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Redwood City, County of San Mateo, State of California, that C.L. Dimmitt, City Engineer of said City, be and he is hereby ordered to prepare plans, profiles, detailed drawings, specifications and estimates for doing the £ollowine work and ing elec- making the following improvements in said City, to-wit:,trilers the Cthe south side stofBroad- way between El Camino Real and Brewster Avenue be removed; that Broadway between E1 Camino Real and Brewster Avenue, Brew- ster Avenue between EI Camino Real and Broadway and Arch Sfreet between Broadway and Brewster Avenue be improved by having constructed thereon sev- enteen (17) two (2) light elec- trollers With 30" x 30" x 30" con- crete bases, said two (2) light alectroliers to be Union Metal Manufacturing Company design No. .8092, built to obtain a light center of seventeen (17) feet nine (9) inches measured from the side- walk line with two (2) G. E. form 12 Novalux units, catalog No. 257693; said two light electrollera Ito be -equipped with 400 C. P. 20 amp. Mazda Series Lamps, togeth- er with all conduit cable, wiring and appurtenances necessary to complete said lighting system and put same Into complete working order, are hereby included herein. There shall also be furnished for said lighting system the fol- lowing G. E. Novalux constant current pole type transformers with suspension hooks, as follows: Two (2) catalog No. 286185 trans- formers normal rating 71,G K.W. with forty (40) gallons of insulat- ing oil; said transformers to be connected by the City of Redwood City, There shall also be constructed and furnished two (2) services to be located as shown on the plans, these services shall consist of one and one-quarter (11/a) inch con -I duit and two (2) cables; they shall be equipped with five thousand (5,000) volts out door type non - disconnecting potheads. Services] shall be installed to conform with G. O. 64A of the California Rail- road Commission and other State laws• Said electrollers shall be con- nected with the existing circuits now installed on Broadway. There is included in the work -hereinbefore ordered in the con- struction and installation of said lighting system all intersections and terminations within the lines and limits of the above described streets and avenues upon which said elentrollers are to be con- structed and installed• Reference is hereby made to the patent license agreement of the Street Lighting & Equipment Com- pany of California, a corporation, dated August 25th, 1930, and now Ion file in the office of the Clerk of the City of Redwood City and the same is made a part hereof. r r JI 1 1 1 1 1
