of <br />Redwood City, February 79 1929+ 9 o'clock, A•M. <br />Regular adjourned meeting of the City Council held, <br />Upon roll call there were present, Councilmen, Mayor H.A.Beeger, Z.T.Thorning, D. R. <br />Stafford.'G.W.McNulty, E.M.Dearborn, City Clerk W.A.-Prices <br />Moved by Councilman McNulty, seconded by Councilman Dearborn, the minutes of last <br />meeting be dispensed with until next regular meeting. Motion carried. <br />On motion of Councilman McNulty, seconded by Councilman Dearborn the City Clerk be <br />and 4inch <br />instructed tq advertise for two carloads of 6/inch cast iron water pipe and the necassery <br />fittings. Motion carried. <br />Councilman Thorning offers Ordinance No.2939 (An ordinance amending an ordinance <br />entitled, "Ordinance no.210, an oxdibnancelicensing for the purposes of regulating and <br />revenue, every kind of lawful business hereinafter specified transacted or carried on <br />within the limits of the Town of Redwood City,County of San Mateo, State of California, <br />fixing the tate of license tax upon the same, and providing for the collection of said <br />license tax, and providing a punishment for carrying on same without a license, and <br />repealing ORDINANCE,NO. 106) and moves its introduction, Councilman McNulty seconds the <br />motion, Motion carried. <br />Councilman Thorning, offers the following Resolution and moves its adoption, Coun. <br />cilman, Stafford seconds the motion. Motion carried. <br />RESOLVED, THAT WHEREAS, the Board -of Freeholders heretofore elected in the Town <br />of Redwood City for the purpose of preparing a charter for said Town, have filed said <br />proposed charter in the office of the Clerk of said.Town of Redwood City and have set <br />the date for the election upon the adoption of said charter for the 9th day of April, <br />1929. <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Redwood City that the <br />Redwood City Tribune, a daily newspaper published, printed and circulated in said Town <br />of Redwood City, be and the same is hereby designated as the newspaper in which to <br />publish said charter as required by the Constitution and laws of the State of California, <br />and the Clerk of said Town is hereby ordered and directed to cause said charter to be <br />published in said newspaper as required by said Constitution and laws of the State of <br />California. <br />AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said Clerk is hereby ordered to have printed <br />in pamphlet form copies of said chartet as required by law. <br />AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Redwood City Standard be and the same is <br />hereby designated as the newspaper in which to publish the notice that the copies of <br />said charter are available for distribution at the office of the Clerk of said Town <br />of Redwood City, and said Clerk is hereby ordered and directed to cause said notice <br />to be published in said newspaper as required by the Constitution and laws of the <br />State of California. <br />Passed and adopted by the Council of the Town of Redwood City at a regular <br />adjourned meeting thereof held on the 7th, day of February, 1929,by the following vote: <br />Ayes and in favor of the passeage of the foregoing Resolution, Councilm®A• <br />Z.T.Thorning, D.R.Stafford, G.W.MeNulty, E.M.Dearborn, H.A.Beeger. <br />
