385 <br />N-3 <br />Councilman Hildebrant, seconded by Councilman McNulty, offered the following Resolution of <br />Intention N-3 for the closing of a certain portion of Hillcrest and St. Francis Avenues: <br />RESOLUTION OF INTENTION NO. N-3 <br />RESOLVED that the public interest and public convenience re- <br />quire and that it is the intention of the Council of the City of Redwood <br />City, County of San Mateo, State of California, to order the following <br />work to be done in said city, to -brit: <br />That the following described portions of the intersection of <br />Hillcrest Avenue and St. Francis Avenue be closed and dacated as public <br />streets and avenues, to wit: <br />PARCEL 1. <br />Beginning at a point in the easterly line of Lot 17, Block 4, New <br />High School Acres, as same is shown on map of "New High School Acres", <br />filed for record June 25, 1923 in Volume 11 of Maps at pages 36, 37 and <br />38, records of San Mateo County, State of California, said point being <br />distant along said easterly line South 50191 Wept 130 feet from the <br />northeasterly corner of said lot; thence from said point of beginning <br />continuing along the easterly and southerly line of said lot, on the are <br />of a curve to the right with a radius of 50 feet a distance of 78.54 feet <br />to the northerly line of St. Francis Avenue; thence along the production <br />thereof in a straight line southeasterly, South 840411 East 25 feet; <br />thence on the are of a curve to the left with a radius of 25 feet a <br />distance of 39.27 feet to a point on the production of the westerly line <br />of Hillcrest Avenue in a straight line southwesterly; thence along said <br />production of the westerly line of Hillcrest Avenue North 50191 East <br />25 feet to the, point of beginning. <br />PARCEL 2. <br />Beginning at a point on the westerly line of Lot 5, Block 5, New <br />High School Acres, as same is shown on map of "New High School Acres, <br />filed for record June 25, 1923, in Volume 11 of Maps at pages 36, 37 and <br />38, records of San Mateo County, State of California, said point being <br />distant along said westerly line South 50 191 West 130 feet from the <br />northwesterly corner of said lot; thence from said point of beginning <br />continuing along the westerly and southerly lines of said lot, on the <br />arc of a curve to the left with a radius of 50 feet a distance of 78.54 <br />feet to the northerly line of St. Francis Avenue; thence along the <br />production thereof in a straight line northwesterly, North 84 411 West <br />25 feet; thence on the arc of a curve to the right with a radius of <br />25 feet a distance of 39.27 feet to a point on the production,of the <br />easterly line of Hillcrest Avenue in a straight line southwesterly; <br />thence along said production of the easterly line of Hillcrest Avenue, <br />North 50 191 East 25 feet to the point of beginning. <br />And said Council of the City of Redwood City does hereby deter- <br />mine and dec]are that it is unnecessary to take any lands for the work <br />of closing said hereinbefore mentioned portions of Hillcrest Avenue and <br />St. Francis Avenue and that it is unnecessary to levy any assessment to <br />provide for the closing of said portions of Hillcrest Avenue and St. <br />Francis Avenue. <br />i All the herein proposed work shall be done in pursuance of and <br />in conformity with an Act of the Legislature of the State of California <br />entitled "An Act to Provide for the Laying out, Opening, Extending, <br />Widening, Lengthening or Closing up, in Whole or in Part, any Street, <br />Square, Lane, Alley, Court or Place Within Municipalities, and to Con- <br />demn and Acquire any and all Lands and Property Necessary and Conven- <br />ient for that Purpose", approved Lurch 6, 1889, and the several acts <br />amendatory thereof or supplemental thereto. <br />The Street Superintendent of the City of Redwood City is hereby <br />ordered and directed to post notices of the passage of this Resolution <br />of Intention in time, form, manner and number as required by law, and <br />he is also directed•to cause to be published in the Redwood City Tribune, <br />a daily newspaper published, printed and circulated in said City of <br />Redwood City, and hereby designated for that purpose by the Council of <br />said City, a notice of the passage of said Resolution of Intention No. <br />N-3 similar in substance to the notices,ordered posted as aforesaid, <br />and for the period required by law. <br />And notice is hereby given that all persons interested and <br />
