1 <br />11 <br />1 <br />1 <br />v ,. <br />MINUTES OF REGULAR MEETING <br />REDWOOD CITY COUNCIL <br />DECEMBER 19, 1932 <br />5:00 P.M. <br />Upon roll call, the following Councilmen were present: Mayor W. J..Dusel, H. A. Beeger, C. J. Hildebrant, <br />R. N. Jones, George W. McNulty, City Clerk, B. E. Myers. Absent: Councilmen C. G. Lambert, Paul A. <br />McCarthy. <br />Minutes of December 5 were approved on motion of Councilman Beeger, seconded by Councilman Hildebrant. <br />Councilman Hildebrant, seconded by Councilman McNulty, offered resolution accepting a deed from the City <br />Collector for Lot 5 in Block 2 of Jefferson Acres. Unanimously carried. Councilman McNulty, seconded <br />by Councilman Hildebrant offered resolution accepting a deed from the City Collector for Lot 6 in <br />Block 2 of Jefferson Acres. Unanimously carried. Note: These lots were a portion of that acquired <br />for the Hudson Street Bridge. <br />After filing Affidavit of Publication, Ordinance No. 340, amending Ordinance No. 335 and inserting a <br />penal clause, was unanimously adopted on motion of Councilman McNulty, seconded by Councilman <br />Hildebrant. For complete text see Ordinance Book No. 3, Page <br />A. J. Dempsey, representing the War Veteran Organizations of Redwood City, asked permission of the <br />Council to build an addition to the present Mezes Hall. On motion of Councilman Hildebrant, <br />seconded by Councilman Beeger, this permission was given with the proviso that there should be <br />no expense to the City, that the plans should meet the approval of the Building Inspector and with <br />the specific understanding that all additions to the building as well as the building itself would <br />belong to the City. <br />Mr. H. F. Becher appeared before the -Council concerning the subdivision of a lot in Wellesley Park, <br />which matter was also covered by a letter from the Planning Commission, but as Mr. Becher had not <br />acquired the legal consent of an adjoining property owner whose lot would become a key lot, no <br />action was taken. <br />The Clerk was instructed to tell thq,Travelers Insurance Company that it was the desire of the City to <br />renew its Group insurance contract. This was done on motion of Councilman McNulty, seconded by <br />Councilman Jones. <br />On motion of Councilman McNulty, seconded by Councilman Hildebrant, the Masonic Hall Club was given <br />permission to hold a dance in its hall on the night of December 31. <br />The approved claims were ordered paid on motion of Councilman McNulty, seconded by Councilman Hildebrant. <br />Adjournment. <br />BEM:MR <br />City Clerk <br />
