RESOLVED, that it is the in-
<br />tention of the Council of the Town
<br />of Redwood City, County of San
<br />Mateo, State of California, to order
<br />the following work to be done and
<br />improvements to be made in said
<br />Town of Redwood City, to -wit:
<br />That Lexington Avenue from the
<br />southwesterly line of the roadway
<br />of Myrtle Street to the southeast-
<br />erly line of the roadway of James
<br />Avenue (or James Street) includ-
<br />ing all intersections or termina-
<br />tions or portions thereof, be im-
<br />proved by being graded for the
<br />full width thereof and for the
<br />length hereinabove mentioned and
<br />described and that the roadway
<br />and portions of roadways within
<br />the lines and limits above describ-
<br />ed be paved with a cement con-
<br />crete pavement five (5) inches
<br />In thickness laid upon a base of
<br />broken stone three (3) inches in
<br />thickness after rolling with a
<br />cushion of sand one (1) inch in
<br />thickness between said broken
<br />stone base and said concrete pave-
<br />ment; provided, however, that said
<br />cement concrete pavement shall
<br />sewer and extending from the

<br />mine and declare that the forego-
<br />ing described work and Improve-
<br />ments are of more than local or
<br />ordinary public benefit and will
<br />affect and benefit the lands and
<br />district hereinafter mentioned,
<br />which said district is hereby de-
<br />clared to be the district benefited
<br />by said work and improvements;
<br />that therefore the entire costs and
<br />expenses of said worst and im-
<br />provements shall be and are here-
<br />by made chargeable against and
<br />shall be assessed upon said lands
<br />and district, which district is
<br />within the limits of the Town of
<br />Redwood City, County of San Ma-
<br />teo, State of California, and said
<br />district is described and shown on
<br />a certain map or plat entitled
<br />"Map Showing Assessment District
<br />under Resolution of Intention No.
<br />1-3", which map or plat was
<br />adopted and approved by the
<br />Council of the Town of Redwood
<br />City on the 18th day of February,
<br />1929, and which map or plat is
<br />now on file in the office of the
<br />Clerk of said Town of Redwood
<br />City, and to which .map or plat
<br />reference is hereby made for an
<br />accurate and complete description
<br />and location of said assessment
<br />district and the same is made a
<br />part hereof; provided, however,
<br />that all streets and avenues or
<br />portions thereof included within
<br />said assessment district and shown
<br />on the map thereof shall be
<br />omitted from any assessment levi-
<br />ed for the costs and expenses of
<br />the work aforesaid, said streets
<br />and avenues and portions thereof
<br />now being in public use as public
<br />streets and avenues.
<br />There is hereby excepted from
<br />the work and improvements afore-
<br />said any thereof that is already
<br />done to the lines and grades as
<br />shown on the plans, profiles, de-
<br />tailed drawings and specifications
<br />herein referred to.
<br />NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN
<br />that serial bonds to represent un-
<br />paid assessments and bear interest
<br />at the rate of seven (7%) per cent
<br />per annum shall be issued here-
<br />under in the manner provided by
<br />the Improvement Bond Act of
<br />1915 'of the State of California,
<br />as amended, the last installment
<br />of which bonds shall mature and
<br />be payable nine (9) years from the
<br />second day Y

<br />ing ten (10) months from their
<br />data Except as herein provided
<br />for the issuance of serial bonds
<br />the work and improvements herein
<br />described shall be done and made
<br />pursuant to the provisions of the
<br />"Improvement Act of 1911" of the

<br />GIVEN that Monday, the 18th day
<br />of March, 1929, at the hour of
<br />7:30 o'clock P.M. of said day, at
<br />the Council Chamber of the Coun-

<br />hereby fixed as the day, hour and

<br />ments described herein, or to the
<br />modified and changed grades at
<br />which said wort and improvements
<br />are to be done and made, or to
<br />the district to be assessed for said
<br />work and improvements, may ap-
<br />pear before said Council of the
<br />Town of Redwood City and show
<br />cause why said proposed work and
<br />Improvements should not be car-
<br />ried out in accordance with said
<br />Resolution of Intention No. L-3, or
<br />why said work and improvements
<br />should not be carried out and done
<br />at the modified, changed and es-
<br />tablished grades as shown on the
<br />Plan; profiles and detailed draw-
<br />ings referred to herein.
<br />The Redwood City Tribune, a
<br />daily newspaper 'published, printed
<br />and circulated in saidTown oft
<br />Redwood City, is hereby desig-
<br />nated as the newspaper in which
<br />to publish this Resolution of In-
<br />tentfon as required by lav, and
<br />the Clerk of the Town of Red-
<br />wood City is hereby ordered and
<br />directed to cause this Resolution
<br />of Intention to be published in
<br />said newspaper twice as required
<br />by law.
<br />The Street Superintendent of the
<br />TOwn of Redwood City shall cause
<br />notices of the passage of this Res-
<br />olution of Intention to be posted
