RESOLVED, that said Council of the Town of Redwood City hereby rejects all of said prop-
<br />osals or bids except that next herein mentioned and hereby awards the contract for doing said ,r
<br />work and making said improvements to the lowest, regular „ responsible bidder, to -wit:
<br />J.F.KNAPP, at the prices named in his bid.
<br />The Town Cle"rkr'. s.he:0eby directed to publish a notice of this award twice in the Redwood
<br />City Tribune, a daily newspaper published, printed and circulated in said Town, of Redwood City
<br />and hereby designated for that purpose by the Council of said Town.
<br />Passed and adopted by the Council of the Town of Redwood City at the hour of 8.50, o'clock
<br />P.M.at a regular meeting lh��eof held on the 7th, day of January, 1929, by the following vote:

<br />416 names protesting againtt the building of a steam laundry on the corner of Penn Ave and Jeff-
<br />erson Ave, said petetions be received and filed. Motion carried.
<br />Moved by Councilman Stafford, seconded by Councilman Dearborn the petetions.be referred
<br />to the City Clerk to have the names of the signers verified to. Motion carried.
<br />Mr Geo Palmer appeared before the Board to have his name withdrawn from the petetion no
<br />was taken by the Council.
<br />The petetion of MrMagrucler in regards to his lumber yard on Vera Ave, was on motion of
<br />Councilman Stafford seconded by Councilman McNulty, the petetion be s�.xcepted, and the City Att-
<br />orney be instructed to draw up an Ordinance in accordance to the petition. Motion carried.
<br />The lTe.ense agreement of the Street Lighting and Equipment Co, was on motion of Coun-
<br />cilman Dearborn seconded by Councilman McNulty, same be received and filed. Motion carried.
<br />Communication from the Planing Commission recommending the establishing of set back lines
<br />on Minnie and George Streets 10 feet on each side, and recommending to the City Council that the
<br />_street widening proceedings be instituted to the widening of said streets as per map filed, was on
<br />motion of Councilman Dearborn seconded b Councilman McNulty said communication be received and

<br />filed. Motion carried,

<br />structed/proceed with the proceedings with the widening of said streets in accordance with the
<br />recommendition of the Manning Commission. Motion carried.
