S <br />(consisting of Precincts Nos. 23 and 24 of the City of Redwood City, as now established <br />of record by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, <br />y for general state and county election purposes.) <br />a <br />Polling Place: Office of Walter Realty Company on E1 Camino.Real <br />at the corner of Wellesley Avenue in said City <br />r of Redwood City. •� <br />Inspector: W. Tucker <br />Section Z: All persons qualified to vote at municipal elections in said City <br />of Redwood City upon the date of the election herein provided for shall be qualified to <br />vote upon the proposition hereby submitted at said special election. <br />Section S. The ballots to be used at said special election shall have printed <br />thereon the following: <br />SPECIAL MUNICIPAL BOND ELECTION <br />CITY OP REDWOOD CITY <br />September 24, 1935 <br />F <br />INSTRUCTIONS TO VOTERS: To vote for or against a proposition stamp 3 p p amp a erose (X) is the <br />voting square after the word "YES" or after the word "NO". <br />All marks except the cross (X) are forbidden. All distinguishing -marks or. <br />erasures are forbidden and make the ballot void. If you wrongly stamp, tear or deface <br />this ballot, return it to the Inspector of Election and obtain another. <br />i <br />PROPOSITION: Shall the City of Redwood City incur a bonded. <br />indebtedness in the principal sum of $ <br />in accordance with the provisions of the ordinance <br />calling the election at which this proposition is submitted, for. YES <br />the object and purpose of acquiring the following municipal im- <br />provement of said City, to -wit: A municipal investment bond.fand. <br />to be used for the purchase of municipal securities or evidences <br />of debt either of said City of Redwood City or of boroughs or dis- <br />tricts therein; including municipal bonds of said City, bonds of <br />boroughs or districts therein or any bonds or liens arising out of NO ; <br />the construction or acquiring of public improvements by local <br />assessment within said municipality? <br />: <br />On the reverse of the ballot shall be printed the words "Municipal Ticket." <br />Section g. Each voter to vote for said proposition hereby submitted and for <br />incurring said bonded indebtedness shall stamp a cross (X) in the blank space opposite <br />the word "YES" on the ballot to the right of said proposition, and to vote against said <br />proposition and against incurring said indebtedness shall stamp a cross (X) in the blank <br />space opposite the word "NO" on the ballot to the right of said proposition. <br />Section 10. This ordinance shall be published once a day for at least seven (7) <br />o days in Redwood City Tribune which is a newspaper published at least six (6) days a week in <br />said City of Redwood City, and such publication shall constitute notice of said election. <br />No other notice of the election hereby called need be given. <br />1 <br />Section 11. This ordinance shall be forthwith entered upon the minutes of this <br />Council and in the ordinance book of said City. This ordinance being an ordinance ordering <br />and calling an election shall take effect from and after its final passage and approval.11 <br />The foregoing ordinance appears on Page of book of "Ordinances" No. 3. <br />John Gill of the Library Board suggested in a letter that perhaps some Public works money could <br />be obtained for a new Library Building. <br />Adjournment. <br />Referred to City Manager. <br />City Clerk <br />.14:1 <br />
