1,50 <br />is submitted, for the object and purpose of acquiring the following <br />municipal improvement of said City, to -wit: A municipal investment <br />bond fund to be used for the purchase of municipal securities or <br />evidences of debt either of said City of Redwood City or of boroughs <br />or districts therein; including municipal bonds of said City, bonds <br />of boroughs or districts therein or any bonds or liens arising out <br />of the construction or acquiring of public improvements by local <br />assessment within said municipality? <br />That the total number of votes cast at said special election was 1134 votes. <br />nj <br />That the number of votes cast in each precinct for �tbp against said propo- <br />sition was as follows: <br />Special Municipal Bond Votes for .said Votes against <br />Election Precinct Number: nronositton: said vrovosition: <br />1 113 10 <br />2 150 14 <br />3 93 19 <br />4 110 20 <br />5 146 16 <br />6 113 10 <br />7 195 19 <br />9 91 25 <br />That three (3) ballots were spoiled and not counted. <br />That more than two-thirds of all the votes cast at said special'slection <br />were in favor of said proposition and authorized the incurring of a bonded debt for <br />the purpose set forth in said proposition, and that said proposition carried. <br />Councilman Fletcher, seconded by Councilman McCarthy, moved the adoption of <br />the following resolution, which motion was carried. <br />RESOLUTION NO. r) <br />DECLARING CANVASS OF RETURNS, AND RESULT OF SPECIAL MUNICIPAL BOND ELECTION <br />HELD SEPTEMBER 24, 1935• <br />WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Redwood City by Ordinance No. 361 <br />duly called and .ordered held in said City of Redwood City an election on the <br />24th day of September, 1935, for the purpose of submitting to the qualified <br />voters and electors thereof the following proposition, to -wit: <br />PROPOSITION: Shall the City of Redwood City. incur a bonded <br />indebtedness in the principal sum of $425,000.00 <br />in accordance with the provisions of the ordinance calling the <br />election at which this proposition is submitted, for the object <br />and purpose of acquiring the following municipal improvement of <br />said City, to -wit: A municipal investment bond fund to be used <br />for the purchase of municipal securities or evidences of debt <br />either of said City of Redwood City or of boroughs or districts <br />therein; including municipal bonds of said City, bonds of <br />boroughs or districts therein or any bonds or liens arising out <br />of the construction or acquiring of public improvements by local <br />assessment within said municipality? <br />AND WHEREAS, said ordinance calling and ordering said election was duly <br />published as required by law and by said ordinance, as appears from the affidavits <br />of B. E. Myers and Vera Clements on file in the office of the City Clerk of said <br />City of Redwood City; and <br />WHEREAS, it appears that said special election was held in accordance <br />with law and with said call, on the said 24th day of September, 1935, as aforesaid, <br />and that the polls for said election were kept open during the time required by <br />law, and that said election was held and conducted, and the votes thereat received <br />and canvassed, and the returns thereof ascertained, determined and declared, all <br />0 <br />Ll <br />i <br />1 <br />
