�1 <br />WHEREAS, the project proposal for the construction of Unit uBu <br />Section 1, of a reinforced concrete storm water culvert along the easterly <br />side of Woodside Road, signed jointly as sponsors by the County of San <br />Mateo and the City of Redwood City, as submitted to the Works Progress <br />Administration, was figured at the security wage rates of $44. - $50- <br />$63- - $69., first approved for San Mateo County, and which rates have <br />since been raised to $55• - $65• - $95• - $94•, and as it appears that <br />the Federal allotment approved for this project cannot be raised, and as <br />the immediate construction of this limit is of urgent importance for the <br />protection and safeguarding of life and property, now, therefore, <br />BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of Redwood City agrees on <br />behalf of said City jointly, with the County of San Mateo, to assume the <br />responsibility of completing this project at the expense of the sponsors <br />if and when the Federal Funds now allotted, or which may hereafter be al- <br />lotted, to the project are exhausted, a <br />AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this resolution be <br />presented before the Board of Supervisors of San Mateo County at its next <br />meeting by the Mayor of the City of Redwood City, and that said Board of <br />Supervisors, on behalf of San Mateo County, be asked to join with the <br />City of Redwood City in the agreement, hereinabove stated, with the Federal <br />Works Progress Administration. <br />The approved claims were ordered paid,on motion of Councilman McNulty, seconded <br />by Councilman Fletcher. <br />Adjournment. <br />0 <br />150' <br />
