<br />On motion of Councilman Fletcher,seconded by Councilman McNulty, there was introduced
<br />Ordinance rezoning Lot 8, Block 2, Wellesley Park, from the first to the second
<br />residential district.
<br />After filing affidavit of publication, Ordinance No. 366, continuing tar, penalties to
<br />December 5, 1936, on motion of Councilman McNulty, seconded by Councilman Christensen,
<br />was adopted.
<br />Councilman Jones, seconded by Councilman McCarthy, proposed the adoption of a resolution
<br />formally accepting an easement to the City by V. L. Jean, dated the 13th day of
<br />April, 1928, but never recorded. Carried.
<br />Consideration of the Deed from the Tacoma Mill Company, granting certain parcels of land
<br />for the extension of Rogers Street was laid over until the next meeting.
<br />Councilman Eva, seconded by Councilman McCarthy, proposed ,the adoption of resolution
<br />authorizing the City Clerk to change and complete the minutes of October 1, 1928,
<br />to show the passage of Resolution of Intention to close Ivy Street. Carried.
<br />Councilman Eva, seconded by Councilman McCarthy, proposed the adoption of the following
<br />resolution closing Ivy Street. Carried. (Note: Filed with °K-1111.)
<br />CLOSING AND VACATING IVY STREET IN THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY
<br />WHEREAS, the Council of the Town of Redwood City did on the 1st day
<br />of October, 1928, pass and adopt Resolution of Intention No. K-11 to order that
<br />Ivy Street in the Town of Redwood City from the southerly line of Broadway and
<br />northeasterly line of Hilton Street extended northwesterly across said Ivy Street
<br />be closed and vacated as a public street and highway; and
<br />WHEREAS, a notice of the passage of said Resolution of Intention was
<br />duly published as required by law in the Redwood City Tribune on October 22, 23,
<br />24, 25, 26, 271 29, 30, 31 and November 1, 1928, as appears from the affidavit
<br />of Sam H. Winklebleck now on file in the office of the Clerk of the Town of
<br />Redwood City; and
<br />WHEREAS, it appears that the last day of publication was the 1st day
<br />of November, 1928; and
<br />WHEREAS, the Street Superintendent of the Town of Redwood City did
<br />duly post notices of the passage of said Resolution of Intention entitled
<br />°Notice of Public Works" along the line of the work and improvement to be done
<br />as described in said Resolution of Intention as appears from the affidavit of
<br />C. n. Dimmitt, Street Superintendent, now on file in the office of the Clerk of
<br />the City of Redwood City; and
<br />WHEREAS, within the time allowed by law no protests of any kind were
<br />made against the work and igiprovements of closing Ivy Street as described in
<br />said Resolution of Intention No. K-11 hereinbefore referred to herein, and said
<br />Council of the City of Redwood City now having acquired jurisdiction thereon;
<br />THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Redwood City
<br />that Ivy Street in the City of Redwood City from the southerly line of Broadway
<br />and northeasterly line of Hilton Street extended northwesterly across said Ivy
<br />Street be and the same is hereby dosed. and vacated as a public street and highway.
<br />Mayor Lambert reported the success of the Floral Fiesta and thought something should be
<br />done toward making it an annual affair in the County. In accord therewith, Council-
<br />man McCarthy, seconded by Councilman McNulty, proposed the adoption of the following
<br />resolution. Carried.
<br />R E S O L U T I O N
<br />Whereas, there was recently held in Bay Meadows, San Mateo County,
<br />a Floral and Vegetable Display and Pageant of great significance to the
<br />entire County, and
