257 <br />Act Oommittee a statement showing delinquent principal and interest of assessments up <br />1 <br />to December 31, 1936. <br />I <br />Councilman Eva, presented the letter which he proposed that the City send to the First <br />National Bank concerning the 1915 Act Bonds held by that bank. On motion of Councilman <br />Fletcher, seconded by Councilman Jones, the Council approved the letter and instructed <br />that it be sent and signed by the City Clerk. (Note: This letter mailed Janizary 21, <br />�I I{,{ 1937 and signed by J. M. Eva.) <br />, ! Copy of a letter by the City Attorney to the Governor concerning Union Cemetery was ordered <br />filed. <br />On motion of Councilman Jones, seconded by Councilman McNulty, the Council authorized the <br />1915 Act Bond Committee to determine the approximate *prices to be offered to bond -holders <br />for the various issues, and at the same time authorized the firm of Stone & Youngberg to <br />buy bonds at the prices recommended by the Committee. <br />On motion of Councilman Eva, seconded by Councilman Christensen, the Council authorized <br />Stone & Youngberg to send a representative to Los Angeles for the purpose of buying <br />1915 Act Bonds and agreed to bear the expense of such a trip so far as travel and hotel <br />accommodations were concerned. <br />I� Councilman Fletcher, seconded by Councilman Jones, proposed the adoption of resolution requesting <br />the President to request Congress to make an appropriation to O.P.A. to permit the com- <br />pletion of projects not yet completed on the basis of original agreements for allocation <br />of costs. Carried. <br />Councilman Jones, seconded by Councilman Christensen, proposed the adoption of resolution <br />requesting the Federal Government to continue its relief of the employable unemployed. <br />!j <br />u, Carried. <br />�I <br />(� On motion of Councilman Fletcher, seconded by Councilman Christensen, it was decided to <br />li <br />i <br />postpone to January 11, 1937, the public hearing on Ordinance No. 388 set for January 4. <br />q'.
