264 <br />to said Brown Harriman &-Co., Inc., upon payment to said City Treasurer of the <br />said purchase.price, to -wit: Par, accrued interest at the rate of 21% to date <br />of delivery, and a premium of $52.00. <br />RESOLVED, further, that said $200,000 principal amount. of City of <br />Redwood City Harbor Improvement Bonds of 1936, Series A, shall ,bear interest <br />at the rate of Two,and one-half (22) per cent per annum, payable semi-annually <br />as aforesaid. <br />RESOLVED, further, that the City Clerk is directed to cause to be <br />lithographed, printed.or engraved a sufficient number of blank bonds and.coupons <br />of suitable quality, said bonds coupons to show on their face that the. same bear <br />interest at Two and.one-half (2j) per cent per annum, payable semi-annually on <br />January lot and July lot in each year. <br />RESOLVED, further, that this resolution shall take effect from and <br />after its passage and approval. <br />After filing affidavit of publication of ordinance and notice of hearing, Ordinance No. 389, <br />referring to the location of private schools in residential sections, was unanimously <br />adopted, on motion of Councilman Christensen, seconded by Councilman Jones. <br />After filing affidavit of publication of ordinance and notice of hearing, Ordinance No. <br />390, referring to the reclassification of Lot 3, Block 2, Dingee Park, was adopted, <br />on motion of Councilman Eva, seconded by Councilman Jones, with Councilmen Hohn and <br />McNulty voting "Noy'. <br />A letter from Governor Merriam, acknowledging receipt of a letter from the City Attorney <br />in regard to title to the cemetery, was ordered filed and the City Clerk instructed <br />to bring the matter up before the Council at the second meeting in February. <br />Mr. Ed. Serretto, 50 Finger Avenue, owner of Lots 6, 7 and 8, Finger Park Tract, sub- <br />mitted to the Council a map showing proposed building plan according td which three <br />houses were to be built on this tract of land, and asked approval of the Council, <br />having previously received approval of the Planning Commission. Permission, as re- <br />quested, was given on motion of Councilman Fletcher, seconded by Councilman Jones. <br />Julius Smith spoke to the Council and suggested that perhaps something should be done <br />by the City to reduce the destructive effects of termites throughout the City, <br />and on motion of Councilman Eva, seconded by Councilman Jones, the Mayor was authorized <br />to appoint a'committee of three, not necessarily councilmen, to investigate and bring <br />in a report, and if possible, recommendations as to appropriate procedure, with <br />Councilman Hohn voting "Noll. <br />Mayor McCarthy appointed Mark E.
