Manager to,work out the details. <br />The departmental reports were ordered filed. <br />The approved claims were ordered paid on motion of Councilman McNulty, seconded by Council- k <br />man Hildebrant. <br />i� <br />City Clerk <br />MINUTES OF REGULAR MEETING <br />REDWOOD CITY COUNCIL <br />JUNE 19v 1933 <br />8:00 P.M. <br />Upon roll calll the following Councilmen were present: Mayor, W. J. Dusel, H. A. Beeger, j <br />0. J. Hildebrant,. C. G. Lambert, P. A. McCartby, G. X. McNulty, Cit; Clerk, B. E. Myers, <br />Absentt Councilman R. N. Jones. <br />The minutes of the meeting of June 5 were approved on motion of Councilman Hildebrant, <br />I <br />seconded by Councilman Beeger. <br />Ulter Markham, representing the Goodwill Industries of Northern California, asked permission <br />to.solicit locally clothing, magazines, etc., which are not being utilized by local <br />organizatioAs. In the discussion reference was made to Mrs. J. E. Baugbn as the head <br />. I <br />of the local welfare work and her desire that all donations be -deed for local relief. <br />The Council expressed its belief in the work being done by the Goodwill Industries but 1 { <br />agreed that local interests should•have preference. On motion of Councilman Lambert, <br />seconded by Councilman McCarthy, Councilman Beeger was asked to confer with Mrs. Baughn <br />In an effort to formulate an arrangement for cooperation between local interests and the <br />Goodwill Industries. Mr. Markham was instructed to consult Mrs. Baughn. <br />Mayor Dusel, having been notified by the Library Board of the expiration of the terms of <br />i <br />office tf N. C. Cummings and S. B. Dole, as members of the Board, re -appointed these <br />two gentlemen to the Board, which action was ratified by the Council on motion of <br />i <br />Councilman Lambert, seconded by Councilman Beeger. <br />I <br />The City Manager presented for the consideration of the Council, a Joint Pole Agreement among <br />the Pacific Gas & Electric Company, the Pacific Telephone & Telegraph Company, and the <br />City of Redwood City, granting to the City of Redwood City permission to install a two - <br />,wire circuit on the poles of the Pacific Gas & Electric Company, and the Pacific Telephone <br />and Telegraph Company*, for the control of the pumps of the Emerald Lake hater system. <br />Councilman McCarthy offered for adoption a Resolution accepting such Agreement and authori- <br />sing the Mayor and City Clerk to execute said Agreement for and on behalf of the City of ! <br />Redwood City. Seconded by Councilman Hildebrant. Unanimously carried. <br />On motion of Councilman Beeger, seconded by Councilman McCarthy, the Council approved the <br />I <br />• City Managerfe suggestion that the outside water consumers, exclusive of the Emerald j <br />Lake District, be permitted the 10% discount privilege provided all delinquencies be <br />paid. <br />
