330 <br />MINUTES OF ADJOURNED REGULAR MEETING <br />REDWOOD CITY COUNCIL <br />SEPTEMBER 280 1937 <br />7:00 P. M. <br />Upon roll call, the following Councilmen were present: Mayor Paul A. McCarthy, <br />Councilmen L. C. Christensen, E. A. Fletcher, R. N.,Jones, and G. W. McNulty, <br />and City Clerk B. E. Myers. Absent: Councilman J. M. Eva. <br />On motion of Councilman Jones, seconded by Councilman Fletcher, approval of minutes <br />for meetings of September 20 and September 27 was postponed until the next <br />regular meeting on October 4. <br />On motion of Councilman McNulty, seconded by Councilman Christensen, the Clerk <br />was authorized to advertise for bids for the improvement of Montgomery Street <br />from the easterly line of the paved roadway on California Street to the <br />easterly end of said Montgomery Street, consisting of construction of concrete <br />sidewalks, concrete curb and gutter and the grading and paving of the road— <br />way: bids to be opened at the regular meeting October 18. <br />;The.City Attorney explained in detail ordinance calling a special election for the <br />purpose of submitting to the electorsthe proposition of incurring a bonded <br />indebtedness for the acquisition by eminent domain proceedings of certain <br />property of the Pacific Gas and Electric Company or for the acquisition, con— <br />struction, and completion of an electrical distribution system. The ordinance <br />was thereafter introduced on motion of Councilman Jones, seconded by <br />Councilman McNulty. <br />Adjournment. <br />M! <br />
