<br />°AND WHEREAS, said ordinance calling and ordering said election was duly
<br />published as required by law and by said ordinance, as appears from the affidavit
<br />of Vera Clements on file in the office of the City Clerk of said City of Redwood
<br />City; and
<br />"WHEREAS, it appears that said special election was held in accordance with
<br />law and with said call, on the said 2nd day of November, 1937, as aforesaid,
<br />and that the polls for said election were kept open during the time required by
<br />law, and that said election was held and conducted, and the votes thereat re-
<br />ceived and canvassed, and the returns thereof ascertained, determined and
<br />declared, all as provided by the laws of the State of California, and by said
<br />ordinance; and
<br />11WHEREAS, on this day, to wit, Monday, the 9th day of November, 1937,•at
<br />the hour of eight o'clock P. M., the Council of said City of Redwood City met
<br />at its usual place of meeting and has canvassed the returns of said special
