448 <br />MINUTES OF REGULAR MEETING <br />REDWOOD CITY COUNCIL <br />OCTOBER 3, 1938 <br />8:00 P.M. <br />Upon roll call the following were present: Councilmen H. F. Anderson, E. A. Fletcher, <br />17m. Hohn, R. N. Jones, P. A. McCarthy, G. W. McNulty, Mayor L. C. Christensen, <br />and City Clerk B. E. Myers. <br />The minutes of the meeting of September 19 were approved on motion of Councilman <br />Anderson, seconded by Councilman Fletcher. <br />There was read a letter from Jno. H. Skeggs, District Engineer of the Division of <br />Highways, indicating that he was willing to install signs reading "Redwood City" <br />wherever he could in line with the regulations governing such installation. The <br />Clerk was asked to acknowledge the letter. <br />The City Collector submitted the following letter: <br />"On October 3, 1938, Mayor Christensen and City Manager, <br />C. L. Dimmitt recommended that the sum of 9453.87 be accept- <br />ed in settlement of the charges on the following property <br />instead of $504.?_9 which is actually due, if the total amount <br />was paid in full. Please confirm the above <br />authorization." <br />On motion of Councilman Fletcher, seconded by Councilman Fletcher, requested <br />authorization was given. <br />The City Collector submitted the following letter: <br />"On August 26, 1938, Mayor Christensen and City Manager Dimmitt <br />recommended that the sum of 9389.70 be accepted in settlement <br />of the charge on the following property instead of ;~`432.99 that <br />is actually due if the total amount was paid in full.
