454 That the total number of votes cast at such election for and against each of said propositions voted upon, including the foregoing absentee votes, was as follows: Tota] Vote For: Total Vote Against Proposition No., 1 { (City Hall Improvements) 1683 370 Proposition No. 2 (Library) 1679 359 5. - That more than two-thirds of all of the votes cast at said special election were in favor of said Proposition No. 1, (City Hall Improvements) and authorized the incurring of a bonded debt for the purpose set forth in said Proposition No. 1, and that said Proposition No. 1 carried. That more than two-thirds of all of the votes cast at said special election were in favor of said Proposition No. 2, (Library) and authorized the incurring of a bonded debt for the purpose set forth in said Proposition No. 2, and that said Proposition No. 2 carried. That the City Clerk of the City of Redwood City be, and is hereby, instructed to enter this resolution on the minutes of this Council as a statement of the re- sult of said election." MYERS, City Clerk of the City of Redwood City, California, do hereby certify that the foregoing is a full, true and correct copy of a resolu- tion duly adopted at regular meeting of the Council of said'City duly and regular- ly held at the regular meeting place thereof on the 3rd day of October, 1938, of which meeting all of the members of said Council had due notice and at which a majority thereof was present; that at said meeting said.resolution was intro- duced by Councilman P. A. McCarthy and read in full and was thereupon, upon motion of Councilman P. A. McCarthy, seconded by Councilman E. A. Fletcher, adopted by the following vote: Ayes: H. F. Anderson, E. A. Fletcher, Wm. Hohn, R. N. Jones, , P. A. McCarthy, G. W. McNulty, Louis C. Christensen Noes: None. Absent: None. That I have carefully compared the same with the original minutes of said meeting on file and of record in my office and that said resolution is duly entered of record in Book 17 of Minutes at pages 451 to 454, inclusive, and said resolution is a full, true and correct copy of the original resolution adopted at said meeting and entered in said minutes. That said resolution has not been amended, modified or rescinded since the date of its adoption and the same is now in full force and effect. Following this, there was ordered filed the following statement: "STATEMENT OF RESULT OF ELECTION "I, B. E. MYERS, City Clerk of the City of Redwood City, California, do hereby certify that a special municipal election was duly and regularly held in said City of Redwood City on September 27, 1938, and that the returns of said special municipal election have been duly and regularly made, and the result thereof has been duly and regularly canvassed and declared by the Council of the City of Redwood City on October 3, 1938, at the hour of eight o'clock P. M., at the usual meeting place of said Council in said City, and that the following statement is a statement of the result of said election.
