457 <br />F <br />On motion of Councilman Fletcher, seconded by Councilman McCarthy, the American <br />Legion was given permit to have an Armistice Ball in the Forester's Hall, <br />November 5 to 1 A. M. <br />On motion of Councilman McCarthy, seconded by Councilman Anderson, the Treasurer was <br />authorized to purchase $10,000 State of California Highway Bonds maturing 15,000 <br />in 1945 and "5,000 in 1946 at a price to yield 2.20 and 2.30 percent. (Note: <br />Never bought; unavailable). <br />The departmental reports were ordered filed. <br />The approved claims were ordered paid on motion of Councilman McNulty, seconded by <br />Councilman Fletcher. <br />Adjourned to Monday, October 10, at 8 P.
