<br />On motion of Councilman McNulty, seconded by Councilman Fletcher, the City Manager and
<br />the City Treasurer were authorized to pay to special architect James H. Mitchell
<br />that portion of his fee now due for the work completed to date.
<br />There was read a letter from the local commander of the Disabled American Veterans ex-
<br />plaining the plan of flag display supported by that organization, Mr. Wilbur
<br />LeGette was present and explained further. It was finally decided, on motion of
<br />Councilman Fletcher, seconded by Councilman McNulty, to give permit to this or-
<br />ganization to solicit for the sale of the flag units.
<br />Due to a possible misunderstanding on the part of the owners of the property, hearing
<br />on proposed abatement of unsightly building at 2061 Broadway, was continued until
<br />the next meeting, October 17, and the Clerk was instructed to write the owners
<br />notifying them of the arrangement.
<br />The following revised wage scale applying to the City Hall and Library was adopted on
<br />motion of Councilman Fletcher, seconded by Councilman Anderson:
