M1 <br />Councilman McCarthy discussed the probability of the cities of the county sharing a <br />portion of the Gas Tax allocated to the County, and he was instructed, with the <br />support of the Council, to ask that other councils throughout the peninsula <br />section appoint representatives to get together to work out some plan for this <br />project. `m <br />In connection with Proposition No. 8 to appear on the November ballot, Councilman <br />McCarthy, on motion of Councilman Jones, seconded by Councilman Fletcher, was <br />asked to write an argument for the Forum section of the Redwood City Tribune <br />advocating and defending said proposition. <br />The City Engineer and the special architect submitted plans and specifications for <br />the proposed construction of a library building, including necessary equip- <br />ment, and said plans were formally approved on motion df Councilman Anderson, <br />seconded by Councilman Jones. <br />The City Engineer and the special architect submitted plans and specifications for <br />the construction of an addition to and alterations of a Municipal Building, in- <br />cluding necessary equipment, additions to the heating system and ground im- <br />provements. Said plans and specifications were approved on motion of Council- <br />man Fletcher, seconded by Councilman McNulty. <br />On motion of Councilman Fletcher, seconded by Councilman McNulty, the Clerk was in- <br />structed to advertise for bids for the construction of the City Hull and the <br />Library; said bids to be opened Wednesday, November 22, at 3 o'clock P.
