m. <br />On motion of Councilman McCarthy, seconded by Councilman Anderson, the Mayor and <br />City Clerk were authorized to sign agreement with the Southern Pacific Company <br />covering proposed grade separation at the Redwood Harbor spur. <br />Councilman McCarthy, seconded by Councilman Anderson, proposed the adoption of the <br />following resolution of Intention 1938-6 which carried. <br />"RESOLUTION OF INTENTION NO. 193g-6 <br />RESOLVED, that the public interest and convenience reouire, <br />and that it is the intention of the Council of the City of <br />Redwood City, County of San Mateo, State of California, to order <br />the following work to be done in said City, to wit: <br />That the following described property be vacated and closed <br />as a public street and highway and railroad crossing, to wit: <br />All that certain piece or parcel of land situate, lying <br />and being in the County of San Mateo, State of California, <br />more particularly described as follows, to wit: <br />BEGINNING at a point on the Southeasterly right of way <br />line of the Southern_Pacific Railroad Company's right of <br />way for the Redwood Harbor spur track which is 9.5 feet <br />Southeasterly, measured radially, from the center line <br />of said spur tract at Engineer's Station 130+50; thence <br />Northeasterly along said Southeasterly right of way line <br />on the are of a curve concave to the right and having a <br />radius of 1901.141 feet (tangent to said curve at last <br />described point bears South 190391329 West) an are <br />distance of 149.779 feet to a point; thence North <br />69051291' west 149.5 feet to a point in the Northwesterly <br />line of the right of way of said spur track; thence <br />along said right of way line in a Southwesterly direction <br />on the arc of a curve concave to the left and having a <br />radius of 1949.91 feet (tangent to said curve at last <br />described point bears North 2000913211 East) an arc <br />distance of 51.035 feet to a point; thence South <br />7102112911 East 49.5 feet to the point of beginning, <br />containing an area of 2445 square feet, more or less. <br />And said Council of the City of Redwood City does hereby de- <br />termine and declare that it is unnecessary to take any lands for the <br />work of closing the said hereinbefore mentioned property and that <br />it is unnecessary to levy any assessment to provide for the closing <br />of the hereinbefore described property. <br />All the herein proposed work shall be done in pursuance of an <br />ordinance of the City of Redwood City entitled "Ordinance No. 333" <br />passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Redwood City on the <br />i 14th day of March, 1932, and commonly known as "Redwood City Improve- <br />ment Procedure Ordinance" which ordinance is now on file in the office <br />of the Clerk of the City of Redwood City and to which reference is <br />i <br />hereby made and the same is made a part hereof. <br />
