On motion of Councilman McCarthy, seconded by Councilman Anderson, the Mayor and City Clerk were authorized to sign agreement with the Southern Pacific Company covering proposed grade separation at the Redwood Harbor spur. Councilman McCarthy, seconded by Councilman Anderson, proposed the adoption of the following resolution of Intention 1938-6 which carried. "RESOLUTION OF INTENTION NO. 193g-6 RESOLVED, that the public interest and convenience reouire, and that it is the intention of the Council of the City of Redwood City, County of San Mateo, State of California, to order the following work to be done in said City, to wit: That the following described property be vacated and closed as a public street and highway and railroad crossing, to wit: All that certain piece or parcel of land situate, lying and being in the County of San Mateo, State of California, more particularly described as follows, to wit: BEGINNING at a point on the Southeasterly right of way line of the Southern_Pacific Railroad Company's right of way for the Redwood Harbor spur track which is 9.5 feet Southeasterly, measured radially, from the center line of said spur tract at Engineer's Station 130+50; thence Northeasterly along said Southeasterly right of way line on the are of a curve concave to the right and having a radius of 1901.141 feet (tangent to said curve at last described point bears South 190391329 West) an are distance of 149.779 feet to a point; thence North 69051291' west 149.5 feet to a point in the Northwesterly line of the right of way of said spur track; thence along said right of way line in a Southwesterly direction on the arc of a curve concave to the left and having a radius of 1949.91 feet (tangent to said curve at last described point bears North 2000913211 East) an arc distance of 51.035 feet to a point; thence South 7102112911 East 49.5 feet to the point of beginning, containing an area of 2445 square feet, more or less. And said Council of the City of Redwood City does hereby de- termine and declare that it is unnecessary to take any lands for the work of closing the said hereinbefore mentioned property and that it is unnecessary to levy any assessment to provide for the closing of the hereinbefore described property. All the herein proposed work shall be done in pursuance of an ordinance of the City of Redwood City entitled "Ordinance No. 333" passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Redwood City on the i 14th day of March, 1932, and commonly known as "Redwood City Improve- ment Procedure Ordinance" which ordinance is now on file in the office of the Clerk of the City of Redwood City and to which reference is i hereby made and the same is made a part hereof.
