(•EClJtringham, ity Clerk <br />MINUTES OF REGULAR MEETING <br />REDWOOD CITY COUNCIL <br />JUNE 1, 1942 <br />8:00 P..M. <br />Upon roll call the following were present: Councilmen H. F. Anderson, <br />C. A. Britschgi, E. A. Fletcher, G. W. McNulty, W. M. Werder, <br />Mayor F. D, Granger and City Clerk C. W. Eltringham. Absent: <br />Councilman H. W. Edmonds. Also present were City Manager C. L. <br />Dimmitt, City Attorney P. A. McCarthy, Police Chief C. L. Collins, <br />Fire Chief M. E. Ryan, Building Inspector L. M. Duncan, <br />Superintendent of Parks Roger Walsh and Health Department <br />representative W. E. Smith. <br />The minutes of the regular meeting of May 18, 1942 were approved on <br />motion of Councilman Werder seconded by Councilman McNulty. <br />Complaint by Central Park Improvement Association about weeds growing <br />in both front and back yard of property located on the southeast <br />corner of Grand Street at the James Street intersection, owned <br />by Leonard Realty Company, was referred to the City Manager for <br />report at the next meeting. <br />Resignation of Councilman H. W. Edmonds was accepted on motion of <br />Councilman Fletcher seconded by Councilman McNulty. <br />The City Manager, in a letter addressed to the Council; stated the <br />term of Mr. C. M. Doxsee as a member of the -Planning Commission <br />expires June 8, 191+2 and that he had been reliably assured <br />Mr. Doxsee did not desire reappointment. It was decided, motion <br />of Councilman Anderson, seconded by Councilman Werder that this <br />matter be continued until the next meeting. <br />The City Attorney was directed, on motion of Councilman Werder sec- <br />onded by Councilman Britschgi, to present at the next meeting a I� <br />resolution entitling taxpayers of the City of Redwood City as <br />i well as residents to free use of the Public Library facilities. <br />1 <br />r <br />(� rr�n <br />Ate( 4 1 <br />
