AT SAID )RIME AND <br />PLACE IN RELATION TO THE <br />ADOPTION OF SAID ORDI- <br />NANCE. <br />ORDINANOE No.4 4 <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING AN <br />ORDINANCE ENTITLED, "OR- <br />DINANCE No. "L AN OBDI- <br />NANCE REGULATING THE <br />HOURS OF PARKING UPON <br />CERTAIN STREETS AND POB - <br />TIONS THEREOF IN THE <br />CITY OF REDWOOD CITY," <br />PASSED AND ADOPTED BY <br />THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF REDWOOD CITY ON THE <br />1STH DAY OF NOVEMBER, <br />1540. <br />The Council of the City of Red- <br />wood City does ordain as follows: <br />Section 1. Section 1 of an ordi- <br />nance entitled, "Ordinance No, 449. <br />An ordinance regulating the hours <br />of parking upon certain streets and <br />portions thereof in the City of Red- <br />wood City," passed and adopted by <br />the Council of the City of Redwood <br />City on the 18th day of November, <br />1940, Is hereby amended to read as <br />follows: <br />Section 1. It is hereby declared <br />unlawful for any person to park <br />or permit an automobile or other <br />vehicle to stand upon any of the <br />following streets dr portions there- <br />of in the City of Redwood City <br />between the hours of 8:00 o'clock <br />a.m. and 8:00 p.m. of any day, ex- <br />cepting Sundays and holidays, for <br />a longer period than two (2) hours <br />of continuous time: <br />On both sides of Hamilton Street <br />from Broadway to Bradford Street; <br />On both sides of Middlefield Road <br />from Broadway to Bradford Street; <br />On both sides of Marshall Street <br />from Warren Street to Jefferson <br />Avenue; <br />On both aides of Bradford Street <br />from Hamilton Street to Middle- <br />field Road. <br />Section 2. ,Any person violating <br />any of the provisions of this ordi- <br />nance shall be deemed guilty of a <br />misdemeanor and upon conviction <br />thereof shalt be punished by a fine <br />of not exceeding One, Hundred <br />Dollars ($100.00) or by Imprison- <br />ment in the County Jail of the <br />County of San Mateo, State of <br />California, not exceeding Ninety <br />(90) days, or by both such fine and <br />Imprisonment. <br />Section 8. This ordinance shall <br />take effect and be In force from <br />and after thirty (36) days after its <br />passage and adoption. <br />The above and foregoing ordi- <br />nance was duly Introduced by the <br />Council of the City of Redwood <br />City on the 7th day of December, <br />1942, and a public hearing thereon <br />will be held on the 21st day of <br />December, 1942, or on such other <br />date, if any, to which the matter <br />may be postponed. <br />.Clerk of tha Clty or <br />Redwood City. <br />Dec. 10, 1942 <br />
