Tof7nelTi the mrtter of the <br />9 division of coat for the ,-ronosed crater service to the proposed new addition <br />of Eaton Avenue Villa and reached anerreement wherein the city will extend <br />� I <br />I„ the present four inch line on Eaton Avenue a distance of approximately 300 <br />feet to the street which bisects the new addition. The subdividers will <br />(— I pay the cost of extendin7 the 4 inch main back from that point to the lots <br />in th-t Brea. The estimated cost is ;500. There -re ten services tba:t <br />may be connected to that main in the future and the city would agree to <br />refund the subdividers X50 for each service that is actually connected to <br />that line. It was City Manager's recommendation that on the basis of that <br />I.i agreement, it would be in order to publish the ordinance -taking the addition <br />into the city. Councilman Anderson moved, seconded by Councilman Britschgi, <br />that the City Ma'nager's recommendation be accented and carried into effect. <br />City Attorney McCarthy asked that the motion include continuing the <br />adoption of the ordinance until the next meeting. It was so ordered and the <br />• motion passed unanimously. <br />City Manag'ex Blom reported on the delivery of surplus water to Mrs. Rhodes in the <br />Emerald Lake District. This water is at present delivered to the property <br />of Mr. tum Suden. In discussing the matter with Street Superintendent <br />Minter, he ndvised thpt there is over 2000 gallons of anter available at <br />the present time, however, there is no record as to the amount of crater <br />avoilable daring the dry season and it was the City Manager's opinion that <br />' he would not recommend two new connections to that source because in the <br />event that the zzter sur-Ily f^lls during; the dry months there might be con- <br />siderable argument as to whether the users were getting their fair eha.re, <br />Since the original contract hr's expired and because there is another inter- <br />ested party in obtrining the water, it was his suggestion that the city ask <br />for bids on the diversion of that water and make an award to the best bidder. <br />j City Attorney McCarthy advised he had discussed the matter 1,rith Mr. tum Suden <br />_ who was agreeable to hcving the ica.ter nut out on bids.
