Motion passed unanimously. <br />Council~n^n Fletcher reported that he <br />and <br />his <br />committee <br />expected <br />to appear before <br />the County Bonrd of Supervisors <br />at <br />their <br />meeting <br />the next <br />dc.y ^.nd ask to <br />be he"rd in regard to the ambulr.nce service. He believed the private am- <br />bulance company snould be subsidised until the county can render more satis- <br />factory service. The rest of the committee, Councilmen Anderson, McNulty <br />agreed to attend the SupArvisors' meeting. <br />City Manrger Blom reported on the exchange of property in the Diller Addition asp <br />requested by Mr. H. !,lavies, which consisted of a.n exchange of a portion of <br />his lot .-!hich fronts on Pennsylvrnic. venue less a ten foot strip across the <br />front of thct -property for e. tract -hick the city ohms adjacent thereto and <br />also frantinm on Pennsylvania !.venue less the same ten foot -trip. In <br />cnecking the deed to the pronerty owned by the city which was granted by <br />the Southern Pacific Railroad Compeny, he believed that the city could not <br />Gell this property inas,nucn as the deed states that it has to be used asa <br />street, pr.rk or n1-�ygrolxrd are.. or revert to the Southern Pacific. Councilman Anderson <br />moved, seconded by Councilman McNulty, thet tha City Attorney be instructed <br />to cont^ct the Southern Pacific with respect to ti^�hether they would release <br />the city from the provision in the deed and report back to the council at <br />the nett meeting the str.tue of Pennsyly^.nia Avenue.
