That the said City Council does hereby declare its in- <br />tention to call a special election on Tuesday, the 30th day of December, <br />1947, for the purpose of submitting to the qualified electors residing <br />in the territory hereinafter specifically described the question of whether <br />such territory shall be annexed to, incorporated in and made a part of <br />the City of Redwood City, a municipal corporation. <br />SECTION 2. The territory herein referred to is specifically described <br />as follows: <br />a <br />SECTION 3. Such territory so specifically described herein is hereby <br />referred to as SOUTH KENSINGTON SQUARE and may be so indicated upon the <br />ballots to be used at the election at which the question of such annexa- <br />tion is submitted. <br />SECTION 4. That notice is hereby given that on Monday, the 17th <br />day of November, 1947, at the hour of 8:00,'o'clock P.M. of said day, <br />in the Council Chambers in the City Hall of said City of Redwood City, <br />any person owning real property within such territory proposed to be <br />annexed, having any objections to the proposed annexation, may appear <br />before the City Council and show cause why such territory should not <br />be so annexed. <br />and <br />tSECTION 5. At any time not later than the hour set for hearing <br />C OMMUNICATI protests and objections to the proposed election, as herein provided, <br />any owner of property within the territory proposed to be annexed may <br />last; make written protest against the proposed election.
