Hi. pr In As APPROVAL O� c ilk COMMUNICATj on t ## (See Page 294) NONE• W. m. urT_MMI RES 0LUTI ON NO. 513 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO CALL A SPECIAL ELECTION FOR ANNEX- ATION OF SOUTH KENSINGTON SQUARE WHEREAS, on the 6th day of October, 1947, there was filed with the Council of the City of Redwood City a petition in writing, requesting that the hereinafter described territory be annexed to, incorporated in, and made a part of the City of Redwood City, which said petition was signed by not less than one-fourth in number of the qualified electors residing within the territory requested to be annexed; NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Redwood City hereby resolves as follows: SECTION 1. That the said City Council does hereby declare its in- tention to call a special election on Tuesday, the 30th day of December, 1947, for the purpose of submitting to the qualified electors residing in the territory hereinafter specifically described the question of whether such territory shall be annexed to, incorporated in and made a part of the City of Redwood City, a municipal corporation. SECTION 2. The territory herein referred to is specifically described as follows: a SECTION 3. Such territory so specifically described herein is hereby referred to as SOUTH KENSINGTON SQUARE and may be so indicated upon the ballots to be used at the election at which the question of such annexa- tion is submitted. SECTION 4. That notice is hereby given that on Monday, the 17th day of November, 1947, at the hour of 8:00,'o'clock P.M. of said day, in the Council Chambers in the City Hall of said City of Redwood City, any person owning real property within such territory proposed to be annexed, having any objections to the proposed annexation, may appear before the City Council and show cause why such territory should not be so annexed. and tSECTION 5. At any time not later than the hour set for hearing C OMMUNICATI protests and objections to the proposed election, as herein provided, any owner of property within the territory proposed to be annexed may last; make written protest against the proposed election.
