1E <br />I <br />A <br />D <br />i <br />i <br />TIDEWATER ASSOCIATED OIL COMPANY, a Delaware corporation, to the CITY OF 135 <br />REDWOOD CITY, a municipal corporation, be and it hereby is accepted by and on <br />behalf of the City of Redwood City. <br />Said deed grants an easement to the City of Redwood City on property described <br />as follows: <br />A parcel of land in the City of Redwood City, County of San Mateo, State of <br />California, described as follows: <br />BEGINNING at the intersection of the Pulgas Ranch Line and the south- <br />easterly line of Brewster Avenue (formerly Eighth Street) as shown on that <br />certain map entitled "Town of Mezesville" recorded August 1, 1956 in Book 1, <br />of Maps, Page 79, San Mateo County Records; THENCE along said southeasterly <br />line of Brewster N 470 291 3511 E a distance of 10.39 feet to a point on the <br />northeasterly line of that certain easement -Prom Associated 011 Company to <br />the City of Redwood City (the bearings of which are the basis for this <br />description) recorded December 21, 1935 in Volume 670, page 310, San Mateo <br />County Records which point is the TRUE POINT OF BEGINNING: THENCE S 590 191 <br />55" E 4+0.91 feet along the northeasterly line of said easement to the <br />westerly line of Middilefield Road (formerly Second Street) as shown on <br />the abovementioned Map of "Town of Mezesville"; THENCE N 30 331 10" W 12.24 <br />feet along said line; THENCE leaving said line N 590 191 5511 W 431.01 feet <br />to the abovementioned southeasterly line of Brewster; THENCE along said line <br />S 470 291 3511 W 10.39 feet to the TRUE POINT OF BEGINNING: being a 10 foot <br />strip across parcel described in deed from Tacome Mill Company, to Asso- <br />ciated 011 Company recorded in Volume 492, page 494, San Mateo County Redords. <br />Passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Redwood City at a regular <br />meeting thereof held on the 21st day of February, 1949, by the following vote: <br />AYES, and in favor of the passage and adoption of the foregoing resolution: <br />Councilmen: BRITSCHGI, GRANGER, HOLMQUIST, MORGAN, and Mayor WERDER. <br />NOES, Councilmen: <br />ABSENT, Councilmen: <br />ATTEST: <br />NONE <br />SPILLERS and SWIFT. <br />RALPH S DODGE <br />Clerk of the City of Redwood City <br />W. Calling election on April 5th to decide whether the City should.incur <br />bonded indebtedness for $150,000 to complete sewage treatment plant. Councilman <br />Holmquist moved adoption of ordinance, seconded by Councilman Morgan, and carried on <br />roll call. Councilmen Spillers and Swift noted absent. <br />MR. CLEM BAUME APPEARED AND STATED THE RECREATION COMMISSION SUBMITTED COMMUNICATION <br />ASKING THAT ANOTHER BOND BE_INCLUDED ALONG WITH THE ABOVE BOND ISSUE, FOR AN <br />ADDITIONAL $100,000. This request was too late to be inclueded along With the <br />present issue and was not submitted in time for the Council to study and consider. <br />Administrative Assistant Miller read an article published in the Tribune on action <br />taken by the Recreation Commission at their meeting. The Council was not opposed <br />to the Recreation project; the Commission and Council were to meet together as an <br />entire group. The issues were entirely different, the building of the Sewage Treat- <br />ment Plant was demanded by the State Legislature for the sanitation of the City and <br />the citizens were almost duty bound to vote for it. The Recreation Commission <br />objected to the transfer of funds that were voted for certain purposes. <br />CITY MANAGER ROLISON STATED IT WAS NECESSARY TO ACQUIRE 95 small parcels of land in <br />South Kensington Square, and suggested that someone be delegated authority to <br />negotiate and deposit deed with the title company, and refer to the Real Estate <br />
