Council- <br />man Britschgi suggested that Councilman Morgan meet with the Chief and point out <br />specific places if he had some in mind. <br />COUNCILMAN GRANGER BROUGHT UP THE QUESTION OF STOP SIGNS AGAIN ON BPMISTER, JEFFERSON, <br />HOPKINS, and WHIPPLE AVENUES, and moved that this be referred again by City Manager <br />• i <br />Rolison to the Traffic Fact Finding Committee, seconded by Councilman Holmquist <br />and carried, Councilman Britschgi voting No. <br />s i <br />COUNCILAVfAN GRANGER ALSO SUGGESTED MANUALLY CONTROLLED SIGNALS FOR PEDESTRIANS AT LAUREL, <br />C <br />HEMLOCK & EL CAM NO REAL. Mayor Werder pointed out that this signal would be one <br />block from the Five Points signal. Councilman Granger moved that the matter be <br />'s <br />referred to the State Highway Division for their recommendation, seconded by Coun- <br />cilman Holmquist, and carried. + <br />i <br />COUNCILIMIAN BRITSOHGI REFERRED TO THE LETTER FROM THE CALIFOR;IA LEAGUE stressing either <br />encouragement or discourgement as to what to do on certain bills and in all fairness <br />g S <br />to Mr. Dolwig the bills should be supported or forgotten. City Manager Rolison <br />stated there were some 5000 bills, 1000 pertaining to Cities and that there were <br />1 <br />several in which we were very much interested in. Mayor Wender `suggested that <br />City Attorney Currie and -City Manager Rolison suggest what action should be taken <br />I <br />in the City's interest and the City Manager be authorized to address the proper <br />e <br />authorities. Councilman Granger so moved, seconded by Councilman Spillers, and <br />carried. <br />COUNCII14AN SPILLERS ASKED WHAT. PROGRESS HAD BEEP. MADE Old TURFING COMiIUI1ITY PARK.
