<br />ON ROLL CALL the following were present: Councilmen Floyd D. Gragger, H. E. Holmquist, A. H. Morgan,Jr.,
<br />R. V. Spillers,A.V.Swift and City Clerk R. S.Dodge. Also present were City Manager E.A.Rolison,
<br />City Attorney C.H. Currie, City Engineer Glenn M. Jain,Administrative Assistant Richard D.Miller,
<br />and Police Chief C. L.Collins. Councilman Britschgi and Mayor Werder noted absent.
<br />THE HEARING ON RESOLUTION OF INTENTION NO. 707 FOR THE IMPROVEMENT OF THAT AREA WITHIN THE CITY OFREDWOODy
<br />,CITY COMMONLY KNOWN AS KENSINGTON SQUARE, by constructing and installing certain public improvements
<br />therein, was opened at eight o'clock P.M. at the City Hall, Redwood City,California.

<br />RESOLUTION ORDERING IMPROVEMENTS AND CALLING FOR BIDS
<br />KENSINGTON SQUARE NO. 1 1948-2
<br />WHEREAS the Council of the City of Redwood City did, on the 2nd day of May, 1949, pass
<br />and ,adopt'Resolution of Intention No. 707 (Kensington Square No. 1 1948-2) to order the hereinafter
<br />described work to be done and improvements to be made in said City of Redwood City; and
<br />WHEREAS notices of the passage of said Resolution of Intention No. 707, headed "NOTICE OF
<br />LOCAL IMPROVEMENT", were duly and regularly posted along the line of said contemplated work and
<br />improvements and in front of all the property liable to be assessed therefor, and on all of the
<br />streets in the district to be assessed therefor, in the time, form, manngr and number as required
<br />by law, as appears from the affidavits of GLENN'M.JAIN, Superintendent of Streets of the City of '
<br />Redwood City, on file in the office of the Clerk of said City: and
<br />WHEREAS it appears'from the affidavit of RLLPH S. DODGE, CityClerk of theCity of Redwood
<br />City, that notices of the adoption of the said Resolution were mailed to all persons owning
<br />real property proposed to be assessed for said improvements in the time, form and manner as re-
<br />quired by law, which affidavit is on file with theClerk of said City of Redwood City; and
<br />WHEREAS it appears from the affidavit of LU VERNE H. HAMLIN that said Resolution of Inten-
<br />tion was duly and regularly published in the Redwood City Tribune, a newspaper published, printed
<br />and circulated in the City of Redsmd City; and
<br />WHEREAS, in and by said Resolution of Intention No. 707 and the notices of the passage thereof
<br />posted, published and mailed as aforesaid, said Council of the City of Redwood City fixed Monday_,
<br />the 23rd day of May, 1949, at the hour of 8:00 P.M. of said day, at the Council Chamber of the
<br />Council of the City of Redwood City, in the City Hall on Middlefield Road in said City, as the
<br />day, hour and place when and where any and all persons having•any objections to beh proposed work
<br />and improvements described in said Resolution -of Intention No. 707, or to the grades at which said
<br />work and improvements are to be done and made, or to the district to be assessed for said work and
<br />improvements, could appear before said Counil and show cause why said proposed work and improvements
<br />should not be carried out and done in accordance with said Resolution of Intention No. 707, or why
<br />said work and improvements should not be carried out and done at the grades as shown on the plans,
<br />profilesyand detailed drawings referred to in said Resolution of Intentio n No. 707 and now on file
<br />in the office of the Clerk of the City of Redwood City; and
<br />WHEREAS, at the day, hour and place last above mentioned, all objections, oia� and written,
