<br />shall comply frith the specifications heretofore adopted- and that the assessments to be made in
<br />said proceedings shall be made and signed by said City ingineer.
<br />The Clerk of the City of Redwood City is hereby ordered and directed to post a notice con-
<br />spicuously for five (5) days on or near the Council Chamber door of theCouncil of said City of
<br />Redwood City, inviting sealed proposals or bids for doing the work andmaking the improvements
<br />ordered herein. Said City Clerk is also ordered and directed to publish a notice inviting said
<br />sealed proposals or bids for the period required by law in the Redwood City Tribune, a daily (except
<br />Sunday) newspaper of general circulation published, printed and circulated in the City of Redwood
<br />City, and hereby designated for that purpose by the Council of said City. Said notice shall refer
<br />to the plans, profiles, detailed drawings and specifications on file in the office of the City
<br />Clerk for a detailed description of the work to be done.
<br />IT IS FURTHER ORDERED that said sealed proposals or bids be publicly opened, examined and
<br />dedlared by the Council of said City of Redwood City at or about the hour of 8:00 o'clxk P.M.
<br />on Monday, the 6th day of June, 1949, and all bids must be filed with the Clerk of theCouncil
<br />of the Citi* of Redwood City on or before such date and hour.

<br />RESOLUTION FIXING MINIMUM WAGE SCALE
<br />KENSINGTON SQUARE NO. 1 1943-2
<br />WIFERFAS the City Engineer of the City of Redwood City has ascertained the general prevailing
<br />rate of per diem wages in the locality in which said public .cork is proposed to be performed for
<br />work of a similar character to that described in Resolution of Intention No.707, adopted May 2,
<br />1949 by the City Council of the City of Redwood City; and
<br />WHEREAS said rate of per diem wages is set forth and contained in the specifications for
<br />said project, copies of which are on file in the office of said City Engineer and also in the
<br />office of the City Clerk of said City: and
<br />WHER3AS the City Council of Redwood City has duly considered said scale and finds the same
<br />to be correct in all particulars;
<br />NOW, THEREFORE, RE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Redwood City as follows:
<br />1. That said Mage scale as set forth in 'the specifications for the above-mentioned project
<br />is hereby adopted as the prevailing rate of per diem wages for work of a similar character, to
<br />that above described in the locality in which said public work is proposed to he performed.
<br />2. That not less Lhan said general prevailing, rate of per diem wages shall be paid for
<br />any work proposed to be performed under said Resolution of Intention No.707.
