<br />RESOLUTION OF PRELIMINARY DETERMINATION STANLEY-WESTGATE'
<br />RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Redwood City, that it does hereby preliminarily
<br />determine tht the ,public convenience and necessity require, and tkt it intends to order, the
<br />following work to be done and improvements to be made in and for said City, to wit:
<br />(a) By installing a 24 -inch reinforced concrete pipe storm sewer complete with man-
<br />holes and all other structures appurtenant thereto, from an existing catch basin at the northeast
<br />intersection of Brewster Avenue with Alameda de las Pulgas; thence along Alameda de las Pulgas to
<br />the intersection of Alameda de las Pulgas with Westgate; thence along Westgate to the intersection
<br />of Westgate with Hopkins Avenue at the corporate' limits line of the Cityof Redwood City, California.
<br />By installing a 15 -inch reinforced concrete pipe storm sewer from a point at the termination of the
<br />aforementioned 24 -inch sewer, in a southeasterly direction parallel to said corporate limits line,
<br />to a 5 -foot easement in Lot 36, Block 15; thence along the said corporate limits line in an easement
<br />5 -foot in width, contiguous to said:caapoate limits line in said Lot 36, Block 15, as said lot is shown
<br />on that map entitled "RESUBDIVISION OF BLOCK 15 IN OAK KNOLL MANOR, RECORDS OF SAN MATEO COUNTY", to
<br />connect with a 2 -foot by 2 -foot concrete box to be installed and an existing 15 -inch corrugated
<br />metal pipe culvert at said corporate limits line in said Lot 36, Block 15.
<br />(b) By installing catch basins to be connected to the aforementioned 24 -inch reinforced
<br />concrete pipe storm sewer at the following locationsr
<br />(1) One catch basin at the intersection of Brewster Avenue withAlameda de las
<br />Pulgas connected to said 24 -inch sewer by an 18 -inch reinforced concrete pipe storm sewer lateral.
<br />(2) Tiro catch basins at the intersection of Westgate withAlameda de las Pulgas

<br />connected to said 24 -inch storm sewer by 15 -inch reinforced concrete pipe storm sewer laterals.
<br />(3) One catch basin at the intersection of Stanley Street with Westgate connected
<br />to said 24 -inch storm sewer by a 10 -inch reinforced concrete pipe storm sewer laterad.
<br />(4) Two catch basins near the corporate limits line of Redwood City & the inter-
<br />section of Westgate with Hopkins Avenue, connected to said 24 -inch storm rawer by a 15 -inch rein-
<br />forced concrete .piep dorm sewer lateral.
<br />(c) The construction of an 18 -inch reinforced concrete piep siphon with a catch basin
<br />at either and thereof across Stanley Street at Brewster Avenue.
<br />(d) The improvement of Westgate by constructing therein concrete curb and gutter, 4 -inch
<br />concrete sidewalks, 5 -feet wide, and -2 -inch asphaltic concrete paving with 6 -inch crusher -run rock
<br />base, 31 feet in width, from the intersectibn of Westgate with Alameda de las Pulgas to.the inter-
<br />section of Westgate witij the existing paved surface on Hopkins Avenue.
<br />(e) The improvement of Stanley Street by constructing therein concrete eurb.and gutter,
<br />4•inch concrete sidewalk, 5 feet wide, on the southerly side thereof only, and 2 -inch asphaltic
<br />concrete paving with 6 -inch crusher -run rock base, 31 feet in width, from the intersection of
<br />Stanley Street with Brewster Avenue to the intersection of Stanley Street with Westgate.
<br />(f) The construction and installation of all necessary appurtenances to the work to
<br />be done under items (a) and through (e) inclusive.
<br />All of said work and improvembnts are to be constructed at the places and in the manner, and
<br />to the lines,
<br />grades and elevations, as shown upon the plans, profiles and specifications made
<br />therefor and on file in the office of the City Engineer of Redwood City.
<br />Said contemplated work and improvement, in the opinion of said City Council, is of more than
<br />local or ordinary public benefit, and said Council does beret* make the cost and expenses of doing
<br />such work and improvement chargeable upon a District, which District said CityCouncil declares to
<br />be the District benefited by said work and impravement and to be assessed to pay the entire cost and
<br />expenses thereof, and which said Assessment District is wholly within thelimits of said City of Redwood

<br />Said area being a portion of OAK KNOLL MANOR, San Mateo County,California,iecorded May 10,
<br />1916 in Vol. 10 at pages 4 to 11, inclusive, records of San Mateo County, the bearings of which
<br />are the basis of this description. Said area includes the Resubdivision o£Block 15 in Oak Knoll
<br />Manor, recorded April 16, 1920 in Vol. 10 at Page 31,San Mateo County records, and also a portion
