338 , For further particulars as to the work and improvements herein ordered to be done and for a descrip— tion of the area proposed to be assessed for said work and improvements, reference is hereby made to Resiolution of Intention No -784 of said Council, passed and adopted on FURTHER RESOLVED, that the work and improvements hereinabove described shall be done under the direction of the City Engineer of said City of Redwood Lity, and that materials used therein shall comply with the specifications heretofore adopted; and that the assessments to be made in said pro— ceedings shall'ba made and signed by said City Engineer. The Clerk of the City of Redwood City is hereby ordered and directed to post a notice conspic— uously for five (5) days on or near the Council Chamber door of the Council of said City of Redwood City, inviting sealed proposals or bids for doing the work and making the improvements ordered herein. Said City Clerk is also ordered and directed to publish a notice inviting said sealed proposals or bids for the period required by law in the Redwood `'ity Tribune, a daily (except Sundap) newspaper of general cirdulation,published, printed and circulated in the City of Redwoo4ity, and hereby desig— nated for that purpose by the Council of said City. Said notice shall refer to the plans, profiles, detailed drawings and specifications on file in the office of the City Clerk for a detailed descrip— tion of the work to be done. IT IS FURTHER ORDERED that said sealed proposals or bids be publicly opened, examined and,de— clared by the Council of said City of Redwood City, at or about the hour of 8:00 P.M. on Monday, October 31, 1949, and all bids must be filed with the Clerk of the Council of the City of Redwood City on or before such date and hour. RES.OLUT I ON N 0. 795 RESOLUTION FIXING MINIMUM WAGE SCALE — LENOLT WHEREAS the City Engineer of the City of Redwood City has ascertained the general prevailing rate of per diem wages in the locality in which said public work is proposed to be performed for work of a similar character to that described in Resolution of Intention No. 784, adopted September 26, 1949 by- the ythe City Council of the City of Redwood City; and WHEREAS'tdid rate of per diem wages is set forth and contained in the specifications for said project, copies of which ire on file in the office of.said City i'ngineer and also in the office of the City Clerk of said City; and WHEREAS the City Council of Redwood City has duly considered said scale and finds the same to be correct in all particulars; T NCIH, THEREFQiE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Redwood bity as follows: 1.. That said wage scale as set forth in the specifications for the above—mentioned project is hereby adopted as the prevailing rate of per diem wages for work of a similar character to that above described in the locality in which said public work is proposed to be performed. 2.
