<br />RESOLUTION No. 822 DECLARING WEEDS A NUISANCE AND ORDERING" THEIR REMOVAL had been prepared
<br />by City Attorney Currie and was ready for adoption. An attached list of all properties
<br />including Lot and Block number and estimated cost was included. Councilman Morgan
<br />offered resolution and moved adoption, seconded by Councilman Britschgi, It was con-
<br />templated that bids be accepted on different methods of eliminating weeds.. Motion
<br />carried on roll call.
<br />R E S 0 L U T I 0 N No. 822 M
<br />DECLARING WEEDS A NUISANCE AND ORDERING THEIR REMOVAL
<br />RESOLVED, by the Council of the City of Redwood City, that certain weeds are
<br />growing in the City of Redwood City upon all of the sidewalks, streets, avenues, roads,
<br />boulevards and highways in said City and upon all the lots and property in said City,
<br />which weeds are of a kind which bear seeds of a winged or downy nature and will attain
<br />such -large growth as to become a fire menace when dry, or are otherwise noxious, and
<br />that said weeds constitute a public nuisance; '
<br />NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DECLARED that the said weeds do now constitute
<br />and will. constitute a public nuisance, and it si hereby ordered that the said public
<br />nuisance be abated in the manner rovided by Ordinance No. 333 of the City of Redwood
<br />City, passed and adopted on the 1M day of March, 1932, which ordinance is now on
<br />file in the office of the Clerk of the City of Redwood City and to which ordinance
<br />reference is hereby made and the same is made a part hereof;
<br />That the sidewalks, streets, avenues, roads, boulevards and highways upon which
<br />and the lots and property upon which such nuisance exists, are all the sidewalks,
<br />streets, avenues, roads, boulevards and highways and all the lots and property front-
<br />ing upon any sidewalk, street, avenue, road, boulevard or highway in said City of
<br />Redwood City, including specifically but not limited to those parcels set out in the
<br />attached sheets, marked "Exhibit All and made a part of this resolution.
<br />That the Superintendent of Streets of the City of Redwood City is hereby directed
<br />to give the notice required by said ordinance, and he shall cause notices to be posted
<br />immediately in front of the property, as designated in this resolution;
<br />That Monday, the 6th day of February, 1950, at the hour of 8:00 o'clock P.M. of
<br />said day, at the meeting place of said Council of the City of Redwood City, in the
<br />Council Chamber in the City Hall on Middlefield Road in said city, be and the same
<br />is hereby fixed as the day, hour and place when objections to the removal of such
<br />weeds will be heard and given due consideration.

<br />ing thereof, held on the 16th day of January, 1950, by the following vote:

<br />CITY ATTORNEY CURRIE WAS ASKED TO BRING BACK AN ORDINANCE ON DOUBLE PARKING AND PROVIDING
<br />FOUR LOADING ZONES. The Traffic Fact Finding Committee had recommended a five minute (((
<br />double parking for commercial vehicles where there was'no loading zone until 10:30
<br />A. N. Mr. Currie stated no ordinance coulc provide for couble parking and the present
<br />ordinance providing for double parking should be repealed. Councilman Granger moved
<br />introduction of ordinance establishing loading zones and repealing portion of Ordi-
<br />nance No..568 providign for double parking, seconded by Councilman Morgan and carried.
