WERDER <br />Mayor of the City of Redwood City <br />COUNCILMAN BRITSCHGI MOVED INTRODUCTION OF ORDINANCE calling for Bond Election, seconded <br />by Councilman Holmquist, and carried. <br />CITY ATTORNEY CURRIE DISCUSSED THE MATTER OF THE LEASE WITH THE CHAMBER OF COMMERCE for <br />the property at the corner of Middlefield Road and Jefferson Avenue, and it was <br />agreed that lease cover the area involved and matter of maintenance, labor carried <br />for landscape, payment of utilities, etc. would be taken up separately. <br />ON MOTION OF COUNCILMAN GRANGER, seconded by Councilman Holmquist, the Library Board was <br />authorized to transfer from the Building Fund to Salary Fund, the amount remaining <br />after completion of painting and gutter job. Administrative Assistant Miller <br />advised that sum of $1572 would be needed to June 30th. There is available the sum <br />of 0734 balance left in their budget after painting and gutter job was completed, <br />$113 left in the salary budget making a total of $847 available at this time. The <br />Council will appropriate the balance of $725 when this amount is necessary to <br />complete the fiscal year. <br />BIDS, CITY DUMP. City Manager Rolison was authorized on motion of Councilman Spillers, <br />,1 seconded by Councilman Holmquist to sign a contract with Romeo Joly as soon as he <br />produces bond and insurance. Mr. Joly will pay $75 per month to the City for the <br />franchise. Agreement is to be dated March lat. Motion carried. <br />ON MOTION OF COUNCILMAN SPILLERS, seconded by Councilman Swift meeting adjourned to <br />4:30 P. M., Feb.. 27th. Motion carried. <br />RALPH S. DODGE <br />Clerk of the City of Redwood City <br />MINUTES OF ADJOURNED REGULAR MEETING <br />REDWOOD CITY COUNCIL <br />February 27, 1950, 4:30 P. M. <br />ON ROLL CALL the following were present: Councilmen: earl-A*-Br3sekg#, Floyd D. Granger, <br />H. E. Holmquist, Robert V. Spillers, A. V. Swift, IN. M. Warder, and City Clerk R. S. <br />Dodge. Also present were: City Manager E. A. Rolison, City Attorney C. B. Currie, <br />{ <br />Councilman Britschgi and Morgan noted absent. <br />ORDINANCE NO. 636 CALLING SPECIAL BOND ELECTION. This ordinance was introduced at the <br />Adjourned regular meeting of February 21st, 1950, and was ready for adoption. Coun- <br />cilman Holmquist moved adoption, seconded by Councilman Spillers and carried on <br />roll call, Councilmen Britschgi and Horgan noted absent. <br />LETTER FROM PORT CO11MISSION was read by City Attorney Currie asking that measure seeking <br />approval of the electors to lease of two warehouse buildings at the Port be placed <br />on the April ballot. Councilman Spillers offered resolution and moved adoption <br />authorizing placing the measure on the ballot, seconded by Councilman Holmquist and <br />carried on roll call, Councilmen Britschgi and Morgan noted absent. <br />
