Property was purchased from Mrs. Marks in order <br />to extend Virginia Avenue. <br />R E S 0 L U T'I O N No. 849 <br />AUTHORIZING CITY MANAGER TO REQUEST CANCELLATION OF TAXES <br />WHEREAS the City of Redwood City has acquired the hereinafter described property <br />for purposes of street extension; and <br />WHEREAS the County of San Mateo has levied taxes against said property; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT AND IT HEREBY IS RESOLVED by the Council of Redwood City, <br />as follows: <br />That the City Manager of Redwood City be, and he hereby is, authorized and <br />directed to petition the Board of Supervisors for cancellation of taxes on the <br />following described property. <br />Lots 40 and 41., Block 3, Portola Addition Resubdivision <br />of Lots 43-41.4., Reese Tract, Redwood City, San Mateo, County, <br />California. <br />Passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Redwood City at a regular <br />meeting thereof, held on the 20th day of March, 1950, by the following vote: <br />AYES, and in favor of the passage and adoption of the foregoing resolution, <br />Councilmen: BRITSCIiGI, GRANGER, HOLMQUIST, MORGAN, SWIFT, and Mayor WERDER. <br />NOES, <br />ABSENT, <br />ATTEST: <br />Councilmen: NONE <br />Councilmen: SPILLERS <br />RALPH S.
