<br />TEM. Councilman Spillers nominated Councilman Granger. Councilman Morgan moved that
<br />nominations be closed, seconded by Councilman Royer. Moticn carried.
<br />ON ROIL CALL the following were present: Councilman Sidney D. Herkner, Paul Jones, Albert
<br />.g, Morgan, Jr., Wm. H. Royer, Robt. V. Spillers, Mayor Pro Tem Floyd D. Granger and
<br />City Clerk R- S. Dodge. Also present were City Manager E. A. Rolison, City Attorney
<br />C• B. Currie, Assistant City Attorney C. W. Lebsack, City Engineer Glenn M. Jain,
<br />Police Chief Stanley D. Wood, Fire Chief J. L. Lodi, Building Inspector L. M. Duncan,
<br />Assistant Building Inspector Stephen Kreiss, Water Superintendent H. IG,. Winter, City
<br />Collector P. E. Perrin and Administrative Assistant Richard D. Miller.
<br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES AS HAILED. Minutes of previous meetings, regular meeting August 7th,
<br />Board of Equalization meeting August 14th, 8:00 PM were ordered approved by the Mayor
<br />as there were no objections.
<br />REAL ESTATE COMMITTEE REPORT - PROPOSED ACQUISITION LOT 12, BLOCK 2, RESUB LOT 11 W W & M,
<br />facing king street adjacent to community park. Recreation Commission had recommended
<br />acquisition for entrace to Community Park. Mr. Warren S. Terriberry, 946 King Street

<br />wished to purchase this parcel of land which was originally planned for parking areas.
<br />Committee, Councilmen Spillers and Herkner, submitted report that entrance to the park
<br />should be extension of Vera Street beyond present barricade but only to the present
<br />bleachers and not through Lot 12. The acquisition of Lot 12, if it was to be used as
<br />parking space, should be considered with the purchase of Lots10 and 11. Mrs. Perkins
<br />appeared, owner of Lots 1, 2, 3 and 4 and objected to the extension of Vera Street
<br />and claimed her property extended to within 15 or 20 ft of the creek. City Engineer
<br />stated map shoed dedication of street up to Dickey and Valota Road. Councilman
<br />Spillers moved this be carried on the agenda for a further report back to Council,
<br />seconded by Councilman Morgan and carried. City Engineer agreed to present sketch at
<br />next meeting.
<br />f REAL ESTATE COMMITTEE REPORT - FIXINGMINIMUItii PRICE ON LOT 15, BLOCK 13, CENTRAL PARK NO.
<br />011 KING STREET BETPi'F,EN JEFFERSON AVENUE AND HARRISON. Committee, Councilman Spillers
<br />and Herkner, submitted report suggesting minimum price of 0750 on this tax delinquent
<br />lot.
<br />Councilman Royer moved approval of recommendation, seconded by Councilman Spiller
<br />and carried.
<br />BUS BENCH REPORT - COUNCILMEN HERKNER & SPILLERS. One of the gentlemen who submitted bid
<br />was on a vacation and the committee had not met with them. Councilman Spillers moved
<br />this be carried on the agenda until the next regular meeting, seconded by Councilman
<br />Morgan and carried.
