Ten percent bid bonds were included with <br />both bids. City Engineer Jain checked the bids and reported later in the meeting. LM, <br />bid was about B% under estimate. <br />CITY hANAGER REPORT ON BID OPENING FOR 2 POLICE CARS. Bates & Associates submitted <br />the only bid for 3 overhead doors for the #1 Fire Station which was $744 with doors <br />instalIe d according to specifications as furnished by the City. City Tlianager con- <br />curred in recommendation of Fire Chief that bid be accepted. Present doors were about <br />30 years old and had been hit on each side many tines by the trucks. The new trucks <br />were wider <br />and this reduced the clearance on each side. Bond money had been set aside <br />For this particular item in the amount of $1,000 and it was not considered in the budget <br />
