Councilman Spillers noted absent. Mr. <br />Smith had from 10 to 25 days to sign the contract, and 60 working days to complete th <br />job. City Engineer would keep the Council informed of the progress on the improve- <br />ments and Mr. Smith would receive a weekly notice according to the specification on <br />the project stating total number of days allowed for the project, the number used and <br />the number of days remaining to complete the job'. The use of 60% of normal equipment <br />was used as a determining factor for a working day. The job would take about three <br />actual months. <br />RES OLUTI ON No. 959 <br />RESOLUTION AWARDING CONTRACT <br />HARDING- SAP PHIRE-ST- FRANCIS <br />IF <br />5 WHEREAS the Council of the City of Redwood City did, in open session,on September <br />5, 1950, publicly open, examine, and declare all sealed proposals or bids for doing <br />all the work and making all the improvements described in Resolution of Intention No. <br />932 of said Council, passed and adopted by said Council on August 7, 19502 to which <br />resolution reference is hereby made for further particulars: <br />NOW THEREFORE, THE COUIi;CIL OF REDWOOD CITY RESOLVES as follows: <br />145 <br />1. That said Council hereby rejects all said proposals or bids for doing the work <br />of making the improvements described in said Resolution of Intention_ No. 932, except <br />that next herein mentioned and rlereb awards the contract for doing said work and <br />making said Improvements to the lowest, regular responsible bidder, to wit: L C Smith <br />Company, a corporation, at the prices named in its bid, to which reference is hereby <br />made for futher particulars. <br />2.
