That at any time not later than the hour set for hearing objections to the proposed annexation, any owner of property within the territory proposed to be annexed may file written protest against the proposed annexation; that such protests shall state the name or names of the owner or owners of the property affected thereby, and the description and area of such property in general terms. Councilman Werder moved that both be accepted with'a letter of regret to Mr. Territo, seconded by Councilman Granger. Mr. Jones had previously been appointed to the Council. THE LIONS CLUB ASKED FOR THE 'COUNCILtS ENDORSEMENT OF THE NAVY BARGE FOR THE MEETING PLACE OF THE BOY SCOUT TROOPS IN THE REDWOOD CITY AREA. They were endeavoring to secure the barge and wished to have the support of the Council. Councilman Granger moved that the City Clerk be authorized to address a. letter to Congressman Jack Anderson in behalf of the Scouts, seconded by Councilman Werder and carried. A LETTER FROM THE BUILDING AND CONSTRUCTION TRADES COUNCIL ENDORSING THE REBER PLAN WAS READ asking the City Council to urge Legislative Bodies to approve the Construction Plan. Councilman Granger moved that the letter be filed for further reference, seconded by Councilman Morgan and carried. APPOINTMENT TO THE PORT COMMISSION. City Manager Rolison appointed Mr. John Rolla to fill the unexpired term of Mr. Thomas A. Rhorabough, deceased, which would expire July, 1952•
