Councilman Royer moved approval, seconded by Councilman <br />Morgan and carried. <br />LEGAL ADVICE VIAS REQUESTED BY COUNCILMAN GRANGER AS TO VFHETHER OR NOT OWNERS OF BOATS <br />BERTHED IN THE, YACHT HARBOR COULD BE ASSESSED FOR PERSONAL PROPERTY TAX. Mayor <br />Britschgi suggested this be dropped for the present time as it might affect negotiations, <br />A letter had been written to one of the heirs but no reply had been received. <br />COUNCILMAN GRANGER ASKED ABOUT THE CONTRACT WITH MR. CLAUS,PENINSULA SEAT ADVERTISING COId- <br />PANY, IN RE TO THE BUS BENCHES, as none had been set up. The City Attorney had forwarded <br />contract last November for him to sign and a letter had been written to him. City <br />Manager reported Mr. Claus had not signed the contract and claimed he could not get <br />cement for the benches. Councilman Granger moved that the pending agreement become null <br />and void, seconded by Councilman Royer and carried. Councilman Granger moved that the <br />City Manager be authorized to call for new bids, stipulating time when they would install <br />the benches and also place a bond for the contract. Motion was lost for want of a second, - <br />KOCI <br />Councilman Herkner moved that it be determined whether or not cement was available for <br />this type of structure, City Manager to report back, seconded by Councilman Royer and <br />carried. <br />COUNCILMAN ROYER ASKED THAT COIdtIITTEE REPORT BE PLACED ON AGENDA FOR THE 14EXT REGULAR I,'SET- <br />ING ON: <br />(1) AGREEMENT BETWEEN SCHOOLS AND CITY ON RECREATION, and <br />(2) ALL NIGHT PARKING. <br />00MI <br />PARI{ DEPARTNIEIlT SURVEY ON TREES Oil BREL"lSTER AND EL CAMINO REAL was brought up by Council- <br />man Royer. Councilman Spillers asked for policy on all trees. Report to be made by <br />Park Department.
