It.was therefore; the City Manager's recom- <br />mendation that the National Cash Register hi -speed non -carriage machine, which <br />incidentally is used by California Water Service, Pacific Telephone & Telegraph <br />Co., and other large utilities and has a rated.capacity of 12,500 bills per <br />month which is 25% in excess of Redwood City's present requirements, and will <br />release one fulltime employee for other duties. Councilman Morgan moved <br />acceptance of City Manager* s report, seconded by ,Councilman sones, and both <br />accepted amendment offered on motion of Councilman Herkner that purchase of <br />machine be considered at the next budget study, seconded by CouncilmanRoyer. <br />Bids will remain open, any opinion of City Auditor Brophy to presented to Mr. <br />Rolison in writing for budget study. Motion carried. <br />CHAS. ARCHIBALD APPEARED IN REGARD TO MOVING GARAGE FROM 28 OAK AVENUE TO 'HIS STORAGE <br />LOT ON HOPKINS AND WINSLOW. 'This was an emergency measure and came up after <br />the Planning Commision meeting. Councilman Royer moved that if legally posgible <br />that he be permitted to store this building for a .30 day period subject to <br />approvel of Planning. Commision, It was underst©od that Mr. Archibald would <br />contact Planning Commision members individually on this. Motion seconaea Dy <br />Councilman Morgan and carried. At the .time this ,building will be moved to a <br />permanent location the building will be posted and the lot to which it will be <br />moved, if moved into the County it can be moved immediately.
