Co.
and are herewith approved as to engineering specifications:
The approval of the estimated cost is withheld pending the receipt of bids.
In connection with payments to be made to the City for the Company's portion
of the cost, it is requested that a separate bill be submitted for the drainage
in and below National Avenue•”
Mrs. Milton Bulkeley's letter, dated July 30th, further states their belief that estimate for street
lights is excessive. Mr. Jain explained these estimates were based on pro—rate costs as shown on the
the Broadway Marshall specifications and were in his opinion, fair. It was understood that the matter
of cost of street lights could be worked out as a separate item, and would not interfere in any ,say xith
the progress of the Broadway improvements.
City Engineer advised that survey crew would immediately stake out the 5 acre tract so that grading
could proceed. He explained further that the grades as laid out are very flat and will drain the
area away from National Motor Bearing but the water cannot be disposed of until land Development Co.
has constructed drainage system in the adjacent area.
.Councilmen Herkner and Spillers were authorized to ]save the State on motion 'of Councilman Royer, see.
onded by Councilman Morgan and carried.
Adjournment 10:30 PM.
MINUTES OF REGULAR MEETING
Redwood City Council
August 6th, 1951s 8 PM
4
R.
