MILLER <br />Clerk Pro -Tem <br />MINUTES OF REGULAR ADJOURNED MEETING <br />REDWOOD CITY COUNCIL <br />Tuesday, September 11, 1951, 8:00 PM <br />ON ROLL CALL the following were present: Councilmen Sidney 1). Herkner, Paul Jones, Albert H. Morgan Jr., <br />Wm. H. Royer, Mayor Carl A. Britschgi and City Clerk R. S. Dodge. Also present were City Attorney 0.B. <br />Currie, Administrative Assistant Richard D. Miller, City Engineer Glenn M. Jain, Assistant Building <br />Inspectors Stephen Kreiss & Be Gyselbrecht and Police Chief Stanley Wood. Councilmen Granger and Spillers <br />noted absent. <br />CONTINUATION OF HEARING - FRANKLIN STREET EXTENSION. City Attorney Currie advised that description of South- <br />ern Pacific property was incorrect and needed further checking. He suggested hearing be duly and regu- <br />larly continued to'the next regular meeting of September 17th. So ordered on motion of Councilman Morgan) <br />seconded by Councilman Royer and carried. <br />RESOLUTION 110. 1136 - TRANSFER OF FUNDS. Clty Attorney advised that in order to proceed without delay it would <br />be necessary to transfer the funds necessary as follows: <br />Parking lot $55,000 <br />Deposit with court 26,940 Davies property <br />Deposit with court 11,500 Lot 16 <br />Total <br />There is approximately $90,000 in Off Street Parking Fund and the balance would come from Unbudgeted <br />Reserve. Councilman Herkner stated he was not ready to vote without further study and suggested the <br />matter be discussed further at a study meeting. Due to the urgency, hoswever, matter was introduced and <br />voted upon motion of Councilman Royer, seconded by Councilman Morgan and carried on roll call, Council- <br />man Herkner voting No for reasons stated above. Councilmen Granger and Spill6rs noted"absent.' <br />RESOLUTION NO. 1137 -.PRELIMINARY DETERMINATION, CANYON ROAD IMPROVEMENTS. Resolution sets date of hearing <br />for September 24th. Councilman Jones offered resolution and moved adoption, seconded by Councilman Mor" <br />gan and carried on roll call, Councilmen Granger and Spillers noted absent. <br />RESOLUTION NQ. 1138 APPROVING WEED ABATEMENT ASSESSMENT ROLL. Affidavits of posting and publication ordered <br />filed by the Mayor. Councilman Morgan offered resolution and moved adoption, seconded by Councilman <br />Royer and carried on roll call, Councilmen Granger and Spillers noted absent. <br />CITY MANAGER RECOMMENDED PURCHASE OF THREE CARS FOR POLICE DEPARTMENT FR0M DAVIES AUTO COMPANY FOR $2686.00. <br />Results of bids are as follows: <br />Davies Chevrolet $2,686.00 <br />San Jose Ford 3,040,37 <br />Mark Tuban Ford 3,381.28 <br />Redwood Nash 4,546.42 <br />11 <br />
